This is my norm

Well this week has finally come and we are headed west for vacation in San Antonio. I am so excited and can’t wait to spend a week of relaxation with my hubby. We are having a spa day, going to Sea World, the Alamo, catch a movie or two and maybe even have dinner on one of those river boats. 🙂 I can’t wait.

Hopefully the weather will hold off and give us shade, but no rain.

Yesterday was my shower and it was soo so fun. I got so many nice things and even some of my big things like our stroller, swing, a take-along-swing, crib mattress and lots of girly goodies too! I’ll post pics after we return.

And for those of you who know how I have been freaking out to get my house unpacked for this shower, well it is done. I have a home 🙂 Now I am just down to a couple of boxes of candles and things to hang on the wall. Very minor! Whoo hoo for no more unpacking. Now I can just sit back, wash the baby clothes and get ready for the little miss’ arrival! So exciting.

Well as promised here is my 28 week belly shot. It’s definitely getting out there 🙂

Ok so for the last few weeks I’ve been having this really bad pain in my tailbone. Just feels sort of uncomfortable and like someone gave me a direct kick. Well this morning I got up and was walking into the kitchen and I sneezed and I promise to you something popped in my tailbone and I feel like it is cracked. It hurts sooooo bad to sit and then once I sit for a while the pain goes away but when I get up it kills.

Just another fun thing that has happened that I was not warned about:)

This weekend I am having a shower. It is going to be very fun. I have two more after this one coming up as well and those are going to be fun too. Showers sort of make everything seem real…like the growing belly can’t do it for me or something 😉

I took a belly pic last night but I have to get it on a disk and bring it over to BJ’s office sometime, so I promised I’d have pictures up and I will!

Hello all my blog pals. I am just sitting here at my husband’s office waiting for him, because today on my way over from the house(which is all of 1 minute) I drove the truck over because it was really muddy from a big rain that we got, and I drove straight into a puddle and got the truck stuck. Whoops! At least BJ had a smile on his face when he drove out there. He just laughed at me.

So now I am waiting for my ride to become unstuck so that I can go do some shopping. Khols is having a big sale on all sorts of things so I’m going to check them out. As well as hit Target and the grocery store.

Next week we are going out of town on vacation for a whole week. I am soooooo excited. We were originally going to go to South Padre, but then Bj decided that Sea WOrld would be fun to hit for a couple of days, so we are going to San Antonio for the week. I love San Antonio. It will be a nice trip to get away just the two of us and hang out and relax before the baby comes and we enter the world of parenthood.

We worked hard on the house this past weekend and got almost everthing done. We don’t have stuff hung on the walls yet, but we will get there. I only have my office to organize and then we will be in a semi-complete state. Yeah!!!

This weekend is the shower from BJ’s previous church. They are so sweet and its so exciting to have showers. Makes the whole process seem real!

Well the baby has been kicking my sciatic nerve like crazy. Wow, it sure catches me off-guard and hurts like crazy! WOWWEEE! My dr. appointment went really good on Friday. BJ finally got to go with me and that was really fun. He got to hear the good strong heartbeat and see me get my shot. (WHICH HURT VERY BADLY!) But the good thing is that all my tests came back negative for gestational diabetes, etc. So I am all set. I was a little anemic so I just have to start taking some Iron supplements every once in a while. No big deal. Now I go to the dr every two weeks for a while and then every week for the last month. I can’t believe we are already to this point. It is getting so exciting. And I am really getting a belly. I promise to have pics up sometime this week. I just need to get my camera a new battery.

Well what a nice holiday we had. We hung out with family, saw Rebound, painted the crib :), watched some fireworks and ate lots of good food. Now, sadly, we week is here. Yuck. That means more boxes and organizing to do.

I can’t believe I am in my third trimester. WOW. That is just crazy to phathom. I still have so many things to do and get and get organized. These last several weeks I know will go by so fast and then our little daughter will be here with us all. Let’s hope Mommy and Daddy are all ready for her big arrival by then 🙂

Tomorrow I have my gestational diabetes test and then Friday I have a dr. appointment and a shot. And then next week I am meeting with a potential pediatrician. I am looking forward to that!!

Tonight we are going over to finish painting the crib with my dad and then hopefully bring it home and set it up in the nursery. 🙂 Next weekend, BJ’s church is throwing us a shower. That should be a lot of fun!!

My brother was in town this weekend from Florida. I haven’t seen him since I graduated so its been a while. It was really good to see him and he got to see our house and my belly. He thought my belly was hilarious. Probably pretty wierd to phathom his sister being pregnant.

Well I have been super busy lately trying to get my house unpacked. Ugh!! It is never ending. My mom brought up some more of our stuff today that she had been storing for us, so now the things I had unpacked and were making the home look homey, well now it looks like a disaster again. But it will be better soon. I have been working hard.

This weekend was fun, we went to Lake Texoma for a family reunion on my side. It was good to get to see everyone again. I haven’t been since before I got engaged, so everyone was able to meet my hubby and see my belly 🙂 Next year we will have a little 8 month old girl to bring along with us.

So now we are back and working hard again. BJ and I get to go to Olive Garden tonight with my dad and some people that are going to be visiting and speaking at our church. Pretty cool that we get to be a part of the welcoming committee 🙂 Plus, who could resist a meal at Olive Garden. We haven’t been eating out much lately because we are both on diets. BJ has lost over 30 lbs and I have lost 2 and not regained it, even though the baby is growing, so really I have probably lost more than that. My doctor will be so happy with me. I have gained 15 lbs total so far and I still have two more full months of some major growing time, so I am trying to watch what I eat and eat good foods for me and the princess.

Speaking of the princess, for those of you who haven’t put in your vote on the guessing game for weight, height and due date you should. DOn’t forget there is a prize involved 🙂 You already have one given, its a girl…so the rest should be easy right :)????

Well over the weekend we moved into our new home. It was a nice move since we only had to unload. Everything was still in the truck from when we moved out of our house in Waco. Plus we had more people helping us so it went pretty quickly. Now we are in the land of boxes and slowly but surely getting unpacked! I have a shower at my house on the 16 of July so I have to be done by then at least if not before. I will get some pictures up here as soon as I get my camera and computer hooked up. I am still using the computer at BJ’s parents’ house, so soon I will have mine set up at home.

Update on the baby name….it is official. We have a name 🙂 Bj finally agreed to solidify the name. So now we no for sure what our little princess will be called!! I can’t wait until all of you know too!!!

Well I am soooo so tired so I am going to lay down for a siesta.

Well I am back from my appointment and it went good. I can’t believe that I am already finished with my every-four-week appointments, now I go in three weeks for a lab and a shot and then every two weeks after that until the last month, then I go every week. WOW!! 3 more weeks and I will be in my THIRD TRIMESTER!!! I am so ready to have this little girl out to play with her. But, I have alot of preparations to do so I need all the time I can get.

Anyway, I measured perfectly and the heartbeat was excellent!! Now I just have to have my gestational diabetes test and my Rho Gham shot next time. Yuck.

Anyway, the carpet is coming today and I am excited because that is the last major thing and then they are going to clean the house and then we move in!!! Yippee.

Tonight I am hanging out with my friend deborah, because yesterday was her 22 birthday! Happy Day after your birthday deb!

Well ta ta, I am going to find me some lunch 🙂

Well we had an adventurous night last night. 8 counties in the power grid went down and had no power. Somewhere around 70,000 people!!! The electrical plant that controls all of them had a fire inside and so the power was out for about 4 hours. We all sat around a camping lantern and played cards after dinner, because it was dark and there was nothing else to do. THen we decided, because they said it could be up to 8 more hours before we all had power again, that we would hook up a backup generator for the refrigerators and freezer. Well all that work and it was on in about 10 minutes. 🙂 Oh well at least we didn’t have ruined food.

Today I have my 24 week appointment. I feel like I haven’t been to the doctor in forever! Then next time I have to have this big shot because I have negative blood and bj has positive. Yuck I hate hate hate shots!! But I’m excited because I love to hear the heartbeat. Its such a great sound. I’m afraid one time there going to listen and the little miss is going to say something. haha…she moves around so much it is amazing. Yesterday I was so sore from her kicking me the night before. Its amazing what a little 1 1/2 lb. babe can do to you.

Then tonight is Bj’s second basketball game for this summer league he is playing in. They won last week but it was sort of boring because bj didn’t play very much. So hopefully he will tonight so it will be more entertaining.

Only two more days until we move into the house!!! Whoo hoo. They finished painting the baby room and its so cute. I am going to have to get over there and take some after pictures now that everything is almost done. I can’t wait to fix it up.

Today is our 2 year anniversary!!! Wow, seems like just yesterday we were preparing for our wedding and here we are two years later preparing for the birth of our child. That’s amazing. Time flies when you’re having fun!!

Tonight we are going to Benihanna. I love that place and have been craving it for so long. So we have been waiting to go for our anniversary.
