We had a scare

Ok so if you haven’t heard yesterday I gave everyone a big scare. Here’s the story:

So I had let Hoobie out to go the bathroom and he roams around usually. But yesterday I heard a four-wheeler coming and Hoobie had wandered really far away from the house and I was afraid he was going to get hit by the four-wheeler. So I was hurrying to go call him inside and I hit the step into our living room (that is unfinished, so the grout hurts really bad) and it busted open my toe. Blood was going everywhere and then I lost my balance, tried to catch myself on the bar, instead I scratched up and bruised my arm in the process and proceeded to fall straight onto my right knee and then all the way to the ground. The thing is that I had so much momentum behind me and so much weight 🙂 in front of me that gravity did its deed and there was no stopping it. So I was trying so hard to not fall straight onto the baby and I hit on my side (FYI we have tile in our house so it was not a cushioned fall). I was crying my eyes out and bleeding like crazy. And so scared that I had hurt the baby, so I called bj and he came flying over on the four-wheeler.

Well all the while, Hoobie is still outside, and I was still worried about him getting hit, so I told bj that He was out there, but in the process of my calling and crying, bj couldn’t figure out what in the world was going on and all he heard was I had an accident and Hoobie is outside. So, he immediately thought I had somehow accidentally killed Hoobie or that I was really really injured bad. Well I was and I needed him.

So he gets to the house and helps me clean up and stop crying. Then I rested for a while and called my Dr. They wanted me to come in just to be safe. So I spent the rest of the afternoon at the doctor with my mom.

The doctor experience was actually quite interesting though. They hooked me up to the fetal monitor and the other monitor that monitors my contractions. So I sat there for about 30-45 minutes. It was great to get to hear the heartbeat for a long time. Then she kicked a whole bunch and my mom got to see that. I had two very small contractions while I was there, but I didn’t even feel them and they barely showed up on the screen.(do not be alarmed, the dr said it was fine and since they were so mild it was not a concern.) Needless to say it was cool to see what I will be hooked up to during labor.

So after that they did an ultrasound, because her heartbeat didn’t ever really go up or down, it just stayed the same so they wanted to see her movement. So i was really excited because we weren’t scheduled to have anymore ultrasounds. So I got to see my little girl and she is so beautiful. We saw her face and her little mouth opening and closing. Everything checked out fine and the baby is fine and so am I. Just a little sore from the fall and from my injuries but I’m fine. Other good news is the little one has already turned and is head down and ready for delivery!!! Maybe she will make a slightly early arrival. They said she looks really good.

I was a little freaked out though because they kept asking me how far along I was in a way that made me think maybe they thought I could have her yesterday. I freaked out thinking of all the things I don’t have ready yet, not even my bag. So as soon as I get rested up I will be completing that task so it is ready.

So that was my eventful day yesterday. Today I am just taking it easy and recovering. Oh and just in case you are wondering, we found Hoobie and he didn’t get hit by the 4-wheeler. 🙂

33 weeks and feeling it :(

Wow!! I am feeling the weight of the baby like crazy. Yesterday I was so tired and all I did was go to the doctor and then to the library. WOWEE!! The night before we had gone to the youth camp that BJ has been playing at all week, and that alone wiped me out. We didn’t get home until 11 and I was zonked. So I have been recovering the last two days. Last night I literally sat on the couch and watched tv the whole night and then I switched to reading. I got two novels at the library. I’ve been really craving a good read. So anyway, needless to say I am ready for this little one to be out of me. She is getting too big for the inside. Makes me sore. 😦

I am finishing my washing today and that is exciting, because then I can pack my suitcase with her going home outfits. And yesterday I got a baby name book so we can decide on her first name. It is really starting to get aggrivating that we cannot decide on her name. Hopefully we will make some progress soon!!

Well everyone enjoy your weekend. 🙂

Almost 33 weeks!!!!

Well I went for my 32 week appointment today and all is well. Nothing to report except a healthy active little girl in there. She weighs approximately 4-4 1/2lbs!!! Only 7 more weeks until her arrival. I’m so excited!!! Today I am washing clothes and blankets to get ready for her. My to-do list keeps growing and growing 🙂

Ha ha…mine was WAY off…by like 10 years!!!

I’m not that boring I promise!! I think this quiz is not very accurate.

Here is me and my hostesses for the shower a couple of weeks ago. It was so much fun and very beautiful!!

Yep pretty accurate for me too!

Your Birthdate: December 28
Your birth on the 28th day of the month (1 energy) adds a tone of independence and extra energy to your Life Path.

The number 1 energy suggest more executive ability and leadership qualities than you path may have indicated.

A birthday on the 28th of any month gives greater will power and self-confidence, and very often a rather original approach.

Unlike much of the other 1 energy, this birthday is one that endow with the ability to start a job and continue on until it is finished.

You may prefer to use the broad brush, but you can handle details as well.

You are sensitive, but your feeling stay somewhat repressed.

You have a compelling manner that can be dominating in many situations.

First Lamaze class

Well last night we had our first Lamaze class. It was really neat and made the whole fact that we only have 8 more weeks left, seem really REAL.

We watched a birth video and it was so encouraging. The lady went natural, which is what I want to do, and it seemed very do-able. I am so excited and pumped for the whole birthing experience. I know many people think that I am crazy for wanting to go natural, but I feel that I am mentally and spiritually ready for whatever lays ahead for me and the birth of our child.

We learned that conquering our fear is the key to relaxing and having a positive birth experience and that is one thing that I have done. I am not afraid, just anxious.

So anyway, it was fun to meet all the other couples. Everyone was first time parents, so that was good. We all had lots of questions and none of us felt dumb because we all wanted to know 🙂 Knowledge is power!!!!

30 weeks 6 days and counting

Ok ok ok already here is an updated belly pic. I AM HUMONGOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Melissa- we went to this place called A.r.t. Massage 4 you or something like that. It was great and the prices were really reasonable.

I’m working hard today, still trying to catch back up on bills and work. Seems like that is the biggest bummer about coming back from vacation. Yuck!!!

We’re back!!!

ahh how sweet it was to be on vacation. Sadly we are back and in the groove again. We left on Monday for San Antonio. We got there and went out to eat that night and just hung out in the hotel and relaxed. Then on Tuesday we had the ultimate spa day together. I had a preggo massage, which I highly recommend for any pregnant lady once you hit the 30 week mark. That is when I have started getting pretty uncomfortable. Oh…..I can’t even explain how wonderful it felt. Then I had my feet pedicured and my hands manicured, while they served me water and fresh fruit. Oh the pampering you can get when you have a belly sticking out 🙂 Bj had the works done as well. We left in ultimate relief. They even gave me a “Mommy bag” with a baby massager and a baby powder scented homemade candle.

We went out to eat on the Riverwalk at La Margarita that night then headed back to the hotel for a movie in bed. I love how cold hotel sheets are. So wonderful.

Then on Wednesday we went to Sea World to watch the shows and do all the low keyed non wet things. That was fun and the Shamu show was so cool. Then we went back on Thursday for the Waterpark. SO fun!! I was able to ride several rides and it was alot of fun to ride together. Friday we headed home after breakfast and chilled the rest of the weekend even though we were home. We rented some movies and stayed in all weekend. Sunday we went swimming and we both got toasted. We were out way too long. But at least we will have nice tans in a few days. In the meantime I am coating with Aloe Vera.

Today I had a doctors appt. and it went well. All is normal and progressing normally. Only 9 more weeks to go!!! Whoo hoo! I am so excited! I can’t wait for her arrival.

Well I hope to have some pictures up here soon, we are supposed to be getting internet at the house in the next couple of weeks, which will make it much easier for me to update more regularly.

Talk to you all later!
