This is my norm

Yeah…the ticker has finally reached the last block!!! She will be “heading out” so soon!! How exciting. Tomorrow is my dr appt!! I am looking forward to it, even if I haven’t made progress it will still be exciting to go and hear her heartbeat!

Last night was rough….I was up for 4 hours with indigestion…even Tums didn’t help. So from 2-6 I was up crossstitching and trying to make myself fall asleep. Didn’t work. I finally fell asleep at about 6:15 as bj was getting up for work. So I’m pretty tired today. I have tried to rest some, but I can’t fall asleep. We have some remodeling still going on at our house and so its hard to get any sleep with all that going on.

Anyway, my mom and dad will be back today so that is relieving to know, in case I should ever go into labor. But who knows when the little miss will arrive 🙂 I’ve asked her but I just can’t make out what she says??? 🙂

Well this weekend I was busy busy busy. BJ was playing at a youth conference on Sunday so they had practice on Friday night and I went to Babies R Us to exchange a few things and pick up some last minute things that we still needed. It was fun and relaxing to just walk around and get whatever I needed. So then on Saturday morning I had to wake up at 7 to be ready to be picked up for a wedding shower for a cousin. It was in Madisonville at 10 so we had to be ready really early. It was really fun though because I got to hang out with my grandmother and aunt that I don’t get to see too often. We had a good time on the drive. And the shower was very nice as well. So when I got home I was WIPED OUT! I started having braxton hicks pretty bad to the point that I occassionally questioned whether it was real labor or not. I was hoping not since my parents are on vacation until Wednesday. Anyway, so I stayed home from church Sunday so that I could rest up because I was helping out with a baby shower for Rachel that evening.

The shower was alot of fun, hot, but fun. Us poor preggo’s, we just stay so hot all the time 😦 I’m sure it wasn’t hot for everyone but it seems like my body temperature has been raised since the second I got pregnant. I am looking forward to regaining normal body temps soon.

It was fun to see old friends at the shower and there was even a midwife there that is a friend of Rachel’s and she let me listen to the little heartbeat of my baby and then she felt around on my belly and said that she was ready to come out already 🙂 She said wait another week and then we’ll see 🙂 Oh that was music to my ears. I hope when I go to the dr on Thursday that she says the same thing. I would love to have my little one here with me in 2 weeks or so.

Anyway so that was my weekend. The great part is that I have slept back in the bed for 3 nights now and I have gotten great sleep. It has been so wonderful, I don’t know what I changed, but it has been heavenly.

Well back to the grind today. We installed the car seat base into the car so we are ready whenever the time comes. I am so excited that we are almost to the “less than 30 days stage”. It is so close!!!!!!!

Well off to bed for me hopefully for another great and comfy nights sleep 🙂

We finally got our bedding today 🙂 It is soooooo cute and it was a blessing to us. We thought we were going to have to go out and buy it ourselves but someone called and said they wanted to buy it for us, which was such a blessing because it was sort of expensive. So it came in the mail today and I have it on the crib….oh it is so cute. I took some pics but they don’t really do it justice. You’ll just have to come see it for yourself 😉

Well they didn’t check me, very disappointed, so I will have to go another week without knowing if I have even dialated a teeny weenie bit. So we have one week to make some progress 🙂 I hope hope hope they have good news for me when I go next week. Everything looked good like normal. So, one more week to go till the funness begins.

I did get a new haircut today…..very short and easy to manage. I like it, but want it to grow out just a little and then I will really like it, its a little on the too short side, but that’s ok, it just means I can go longer without having to get it cut again!!!

Hoobie had a Chik-fil-A sandwich today. I got home and put my bag of a half eaten sandwhich on the chair and went to use the restroom and came out to find the bag on the ground with Hoobie beside it. He had bitten through the bag and the paper around the sandwhich and pulled the chicken off and was devouring it. He looked so guilty and started curling into a ball when he saw me. At least I wasn’t hungry anymore!

Last night was our fourth Lamaze class. Its so funny because every week all of us preggos only get bigger and bigger and there are more and more sighs and wiggling around to get comfortable. We watched a video on epidurals and learned about our pain medication options. It was pretty cool and informative, although I am still focused on going all-natural.

Before class we swung by to see Meredith and her new son. He was so cute and I got to hold him. It was funny because I had to hold him so high up so he basically was setting on my stomach. And our little one started moving all around. I guess they have already become friends 🙂

I slept on the couch again for the third night in a row. I have officially reached the completely uncomfortable stage of my pregnancy. I actually started out in the bed last night, but by 12:30 I had to get up. Only 5 more weeks and then I pray I will slowly attain comfortableness again.

Tomorrow is my first weekly doctors appointment, and last night I was at class and like every single woman is already dialating, except me. At least I don’t know yet, but I doubt it. One couple even had there baby already. I pray pray pray that my doctor gives me hope for an early arrival. My stomach is so hard that it just hurts and aches. yuck.

This past weekend was so nice. We had a date night and went to this new restaurant called The Grotto. Its italian food, and soooo yummy. We sat on the patio and just enjoyed ourselves. I ordered some pasta with this great salad…the Grotto salad. Yum, the dressing was so delicious. Then they gave us sweet bruscetta (sp?) at the end which was cute and yummy. Then we walked around to a couple of stores and then went over to the mall to get our wedding bands cleaned and then to see Four Brothers.

What a nice evening! Last night bj was funny, he went to play basketball and as he left he instructed me not to panic if I had contractions unless they were 5 min. apart. I thought it was so cute!!! Its getting closer. She is so low, I feel like if I cough she is going to fall out. When I sit my stomach just rests in my lap…haha…it feels so funny.

Last night a friend of mine, Meredith Aleman, had her baby. He was a little early but healthy and so is she. Next its my turn!!!

Tonight is our second to last lamaze class….we have really been enjoying it and it makes the whole process seem so real and close. I can’t believe we are almost there.

Well here it is the Rock hard, huge belly 🙂 34weeks and 3 days…..oh I can’t wait for her arrival. 40 more days to go!!!! Sure sounds better than 40 weeks to go!

Yesterday our church threw us a shower and we got lots of the things that we were still needing. It was so much fun and the games were hilarious. They had one where BJ and my aunt were the “babies” and 4 girls and 4 guys had to make a diaper on them as fast as they could in 2 minutes with toilet paper. I was sooooooo thankful I wore a skirt, so I couldn’t participate, but oh my goodness, that was a funny game. I was laughing so hard I was almost crying. I will definitely have to post pictures as soon as I can get some.

Last night I slept on the couch. I tossed and turned in bed so much that I was afraid I would wake BJ up, so I got up to read or cross-stitch and I fell asleep. The good things was that the couch was actually really comfortable because I could sink down into it. So I may have to sleep there from now on until this big huge, solid rock gut is gone 😉

Well another week has begun, and this week marks my “weekly” checkups from here on out. I hope I make quick progress.

Well yesterday I got crafty and decided to start cross-stitching a 5×7 picture for the baby room. It’s pretty cute, but I just hope I can get it done before she gets here. I haven’t cross-stitched since I was like 10. It is coming along pretty good just slow. But at least I will be able to say I made it myself 🙂

I’ll post a pic as soon as I finish it.

In other news, I AM BACK ONLINE!!!!! We finally have internet and phone at the house and I am so happy. It is still dial-up for the time being but at least I don’t have to cart everything and myself over to the office anytime I want to get online. We should have high-speed in about a month. The company is really backed up on their orders so it is taking a while.

Last night we went to Jared and Britton’s concert, and then proceeded to stay up until 4 a.m. watching old family videos and basketball games. It was hilarious. I sewed while I watched. We are so old already 😉 So we slept in until nearly noon today which was nice. Then woke up to powdered sugar donuts and milk 🙂 Yum!!!

Tonight is date night. We are gonna go eat and see a movie. Our time is limited now, since we don’t know when the little miss will make her arrival. I’m excited though. We are going to try a new restaurant, don’t know which one yet, just something we haven’t tried yet. mmmmm maybe PF Chang’s…I love chinese.
