Such disappointment

Well I went to my class and much to my dismay…the would be high school p.e. class is actually more like a physical fitness test all semester long. We have to be assessed on Thursday and run 1 1/2 miles…at least I have been running. And then we have to do a bench press max, flexibility, and sit ups. BUMMER>>>>I Want to play dodgeball and extreme frisbee………AHHHHHH.

2nd first day of school

Well second first day of school is halfway finished. I went to my intro to photojournalism class and I am really excited–a little overwhelmed, but excited. I love to take pictures and I am glad to get to learn how to take pictures, how to develop my own film and the best part is its all dealing with black and white film. I LOVE B/W. So this should be a very fun class.

I’m taking some really great classes this semester….Consumer behavior, to know how and why my future customers do the things they do and purchase the things they do….Intro to Photojournalism which can never hurt for the advertising industry as well as common life…. Retail Management, which again is good for me to know how to run my store one day….Fitness theory and practice, the best….a college level HIGH SCHOOL P.E. CLASS….talk about fun times!! Bring on the dodgeball, kickball, and extreme frisbee!!!!!! Of course, this is very essential 🙂 and lastly….Interviewing…which is good for being able to get a job, plus being able to hire one day.

Also did I mention that my interviewing prof is 25 YEARS OLD???!!!! He’s like 2 years older than me!! How is that allowed! He came in and I literally thought he was a student or at most a T.A. but no, he is the teach…pretty funny…and he tries to act cool and stuff….we’ll see how this goes…the good part is we only have to go to class until spring break, then…..we are free………WONDERFUL!!!!!!!

So now I have to sadfully go to my last class of the day….P.E. What a drag 😉 J/K. I’m just glad I have got some great classes to finish out my college experience with.

Skin care class

Tonight I got my Mary Kay pin for becoming a consultant!! whoo hoo… And we learned how to hold a skin care class…so fun and pretty simple. I’m sure it will get easier once I have some. So I am ready to start booking some classes!! Also I won a door prize!! I never win prizes so it was fun!

Well first day of school went fine. I am so tired though. The first day always wipes me out. I don’t know why, but it does. I came home and had to take a nap to get a recharge. Anyway, I am off to bed soon….nighty night…

Ps….I am still sorry for the delay in my quest. I am kicking myself for not gettting back on it.

Last first day of a semester—what a relief!!

Well tomorrow I embark on my last first day of a semester in college!!!! Finally the semester countdown is upon us for real! I am so excited and exhillerated to see how my life will change after college and what God has in store for me and BJ. This is a huge year and we can’t wait for it to unfold. Only four months and then a new job for me possibly, and new home for us, a new job for him, many new things!!! WHoo hhoooo….bring it on!!!

Joining the club of Four Eyes

Well today I went to the optomitrist and joined the club of four eyes. I now have to get glasses because of my extensive use of the computer and reading, it has caused my little eye-balls to weaken, therefore leading to the conclusion that I must obtain reading spectacles for the poor things. I found some cute little frames that I like though so it isn’t so bad. Me and BJ were laughing while trying on all sorts of glasses. Good thing glasses have evolved from the times when my mom first had to wear glasses. They were huge!!

Anywho….I guess its that old age thing setting in….22 and now I am getting all the signs of aging 🙂 This is not a good sign.

Last night, BJ and I had date night and we had such a fun time. We went to dinner, Souper Salad, one of my fav’s and then we went to Barnes and Noble and just hung out and read books. Fun times!! I love reading!! I love B & N. I could stay there for days and not get bored. Then we came home and played card games. We are trying to find new creative things to do for date night instead of always going to a movie or something. So that was a fun night!

Today it is cold wet and rainey. YUCK!! I was enjoying the warming up part…but now I think we are in for the delayed winter…and why does it have to be wet too….its miserable.

No Time for Anything

Wow this week has been busy. Between getting ALL of the house cleaned and getting ready for school, plus work….I’m beat! I’m a little behind in my Quest, as you can tell, but please forgive me… my heart is aching to read more, and my time is next to nothing. I will be reading chapter 5 this evening and posting the recap asap. Its amazing how time just goes out the window, and its always when I really want to put more time into God.

I’m excited about my new Mary Kay business!! Send everyone my way if they want new makeup, skin products or fragrances. There are even products for men!

Mary Kay Cosmetics Independant Beauty Consultant

I am now officially a Mary Kay independent beauty consultant. I joined today under my friend Melissa. This should give me some extra money on the side during my last semester here at Baylor, and hopefully I can grow my little business to be big enough to let me be able to work in a nonprofit setting one day (my dream). So for all you ladies out there, check out my website or give me a call and I can get you all fixed up Mary Kay style!

Happy New Year–2005

Last night we had a nice evening together. We had planned to hang out with some friends but we all decided not to do anything. So we just stayed in a watched movies and ordered pizza. Then we watched Dick Clark’s Rockin New Year’s Eve , which Regis Philbin had to fill in for Dick because he had a heart attack I believe. So we watched the ball drop in New York and then had to wait an hour for our New Year’s. I was soooooo tired by that time that I fell asleep and BJ had to wake me up for the new year. So we opened our bottle of sparkling red grape juice and drank it to the new year. 🙂 HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!! HAPPY 2005!!

I’m excited about this year. It holds many exciting changes for Bj and I. A new home, new jobs, a new life basically. All exciting!!

I missed my quest yesterday because we were cleaning all day. So today I will be on quest day 5.

Deborah is coming over today!! YEAH!! I have to go finish cleaning my house up. I did get all of my Christmas stuff down, so I guess that means everything from 2004 stays in 2004, or something…I’m not totally sure on the luck that brings! Probably something good 🙂

Ok….on to cleaning.

A prayer for the New Year

Dear Father, Thou who created time and days,
we come before Thee to ask Thy
continual presence to be with us as we
set foot into a new year. Lord, we confess
that in past times we have not kept our
focus on Thee, that we have allowed our
own temporal interests and desires to
crowd Thee out of our sight. Father,
forgive us for our wandering attention, for
our dissatisfaction with Thee. Lord, turn
our eyes again to Thee and make us to
find full contentment and fulfillment in the
fervent pursuit of Thee and Thy will.
Let this pursuit be the burning passion of
our lives in the year to come, that we
may stay ever in the center of Thy perfect will.
In all things, Lord, we pray, let Thy will be
done in our lives. We pray these things in the
name of Thy Son, Jesus Christ, know that if we
ask it shall be given unto us. Amen.

Pesky Pests

Today we are having the house exterminated for all the pesky pests that may want to invade the home. At the beginning of this year we had a mouse in the house!! SICK-O!! But we had them exterminated! And then when we got Hoobie we have never seen any mousies anymore. But sometimes we hear them under the house…so today they will meet their maker 🙂

I am so happy that I don’t have to work today. We slept until 8:30 and then the exterminator called to confirm his appointment at 11….so sad. The reason we made it late is so we could sleep later, oh well, 8:30 is late for me!

Today is going to be a productive day….clean the bathrooms, take down all the Christmas “gear” (brings you luck in the new year if you get it down before New Years), mop, dust, laundry, file bills, pay bills, work on the New Year budget…(yuck), and start looking for my school books on ebay. Man, if I got all that done I would freak!

Tomorrow my dear friend Deborah who I have not seen in ages is coming over to my house for the first time ever. YEAH!!! I’m excited. We never get to hang out anymore now that we are both little wifey’s. But in time, we will….we will take our children to the zoo 🙂 As soon as i get some children…and hopefully before hers are teenagers 🙂 (Just kidding Deb.)

Last night we went to see Meet the Fokers with some friends…it was funny. I would recommend it for mature audiences only though. There was some adult content that was a little overboard. Then afterwards we went to Applebee’s for dessert. Yum…and that’s all we ate, we actually went for dessert and that was it. Usually we go for dessert, eat dinner and take dessert home. That is no way to lose weight. We did good. 🙂

Today we are going running sometime. BJ is doing good. He hasn’t ran in a long time so he is starting slow, but he’s being consistent and that is what matters.

Well off to my productive day!!! Whoo hoo!! I love these days.

Happy New Year’s Eve!
