TGIF

We have a busy weekend ahead of us, but should be fun!! Have a wonderful weekend everyone!!

Rain

You know what is fun..getting out of the car and loading a child into a stroller, while rounding up the diaper bag, my purse and then strapping the child into the stroller, all the while holding a gigantic umbrella in the POURING cats and dogs rain. Let me tell ya, holding and umbrella ( the big kind) and pushing a stroller is a skill. Trust me. SO then the second I walk into my dentist appointment…….the rain stops. Hayden and I looked like we took showers IN our clothes. Fun.

The green machine

Too funny not to post…..this made my day 🙂 I laughed so hard when I saw her !

The funniest part…she hates wearing hats, bows, anything on her head, yet she left this on with no fuss….little stinker!

Also…we went and saw The Prestige today….Great movie! You must go see it…go go go! Oh…and I carved my first ever pumpkin today…it looks horrible I know

Super stroller :)

Here is the super

duper stroller that i mentioned…i went online and found if for you Mel….its super pricey, but! you have to know that this thing was AMAZING!

Here is a link to the description of it 🙂

Baylor Homecoming!

We had a really busy weekend filled with lots of fun and old friends 🙂

We kicked it off on Friday night when we attended a wedding at a gorgeous venue Parasio Maravilla. It was so beautiful.

Then we got up Saturday morning and drove to Waco for our 2nd Baylor Homecoming!! But one bad thing is that Hayden did not sleep the whole drive up there and so when we got to the game at about 1:45pm she had been awake all day. Not good. So we thought we might be able to entertain her long enough for the game to end and then she could take a nice nap. Well I knew the weather would be cold on Sunday but I did not count on the blazing sun being straight in our face. (last year I don’t think we sat on the student side and we were in the shade) So, we get to the game and meet up with our sweet friends Courtney and Tim. Well the weather is blazing hot….do we have any sunscreen….NO! So the whole game I am not even able to concentrate on the game because I am worried that my pastey daughter will get roasted. Plus she is cranky and hot so she is moving all over the place, trying to make friends with the neighbors and such…well, by halftime we have stripped her down to her diaper and t-shirt. Poor thing, is sweating and red-faced. As am I, but I don’t think twice about it. So, Courtney and I decided to leave the unbearable heat and get the little munchkin home for a nap.

Oh…may I mention that at this point we were also losing the game. sad sad.

So, we get home, change clothes, get Hayden down and collapse on the couch. Fun times 🙂 A while later the guys call….Baylor came back and won the game by one point right at the end of the game and they were taking the goalposts down!!! WHAHOOO!!! and of course we have missed this. Oh, and also, this will be the first time ever that Baylor has won three Big 12 games in the same season!! Double WAHOO!!!! So though we missed the fun part, it was very exciting!

So then the guys got home and we went and saw our friends Matt and Sarah and their girls. We ate dinner outside in the nice weather and caught up with everything. It was great. We got to tour the world hunger farm and see all the crops, some of the goats, and the gift shop. I also got to push this really cool dual stroller…supposedly its really expensive but I have got to get one when we have another child…this thing was the lightest stroller ever, and it had two children in it.

Then Sunday we went to our old church Antioch….oh how we have missed you! It was great. Hayden had a lot of fun in the nursery and then we went to the always yummy, Ninfas. If you have not had Ninfa’s in Waco, you have to try it…It is totally different then any Ninfas anywhere else. Yum! The guys saw some local sportscaster and proceeded to be totally and incredibly “socially awkward” (as Court would say) 🙂 Fun times fun times……

So that was our weekend…we had a great time…and yes, have basically no pictures to show for it. I do have some of Hayden playing with our friends’ little girls but I haven’t uploaded them yet. I’ll get on that eventually.

300th Post!!!

I’m sad due to the fact that Melissa did not update her blog. Hopefully that doesn’t mean that you couldn’t find out what the babe is.

My enter (pinkie) finger is hurting because I slammed it accidentally so its making for some interesting typing.

Tonight I made lamb & tomato curry with couscous. Yum….it was really good but it was a little spicy for our liking. BJ doesn’t like spicy foods at all, but I do typically, but this one was a bit over the top.

Started watching “end of the spear” but bj fell asleep and it was pretty slow moving. So I suppose I will finish it by myself sometime. I really thought it would be more interesting from the get-go, but maybe it picks up later in the movie.

Oh…yes, also Happy birthday to my BIL….20 years old!! whoohoo!! Live it up in the UK!

This is a strange post but I am tired, wanted to jot a few things down and now i’m off to bed….I guess Mel is not posting tonight…sniff.

Drama-Mamma

All I gots to say is too much drama….sheesh!

Birthday fun!

Well Hayden’s Birthday was a success…it was a lot of work, but so much fun and very memorable for me and bj. She got lots of nice things and has been playing with her new things…yet right now she is walking around with three balloons that were left over saying “ba-oooon”. I love it when she knows words and can say them. Anyway, we took tons of pics and so did the grandparents so I have compiled them and put them in an album for your viewing pleasure 🙂 Enjoy!!!

Also a neat thing that happened…Jordan had her sweet little girl, Hallie Harson on Hayden’s Birthday…what a fun thing!! Welcome to the world little Hallie (and for those that are wondering, it is Hal-lie with an emphasis on the Hal, not Haylie) 🙂

Happy 1st Birthday baby girl!!!

Dear Hayden,

I can’t believe it has been a year of your little life already. We have had so many wonderful memories already and can’t wait to see and make many many more with you.

Since the second you came into the world at the early hour of 3:44 am, daddy and I haven’t been the same. I didn’t think I could love someone so much that I had just barely met, but you proved me wrong. I remember you warm red body and big eyes scanning the new world that you entered in. And those feet…they were so cute and so big!! Your tiny cry that was such a great sound…the first few times 🙂 I remember the day we brought you home was the first cool day of the year, and the weather had changed to fall.

Now a year later, here you are, walking and talking…eating everything in sight. You love music so much and dance everytime you hear it. You love the Backyardigins, Barney and Dora! You also like Veggie tales and Bath time!! You love to splash in the water and say “kick, kick, kick”.

You are truly the joy of our lives and we haven’t been the same since you came into this world. Have the Happiest Day ever! We love you so much our precious girl!
