Boo for Bladder Infections….yesterday I started having serious pains in my stomach that doubled me over with pain…I called my Dr…they said to take advil…..BOOOO…..so BJ took me to a minor emergency center and found out I had a bladder infection…..bummer. At least it wasn’t appendix or something worse though, because it felt worse than a bladder infection.

So BJ took the rest of the day off, we rented some movies for the icy weather and his mom made us some roast and chili…yum. Then we came home and watched the Golden Globes and then My Super Ex-Girlfriend. That was a cute movie (but did have some sexual content in it).

Anyway, it is soooooooo cold here….Mel I know you probably think we are sissy’s, But we DO live in Texas….we aren’t accustomed to cold weather. I don’t like this!

Stay warm Texans 🙂

Not much to post…but I did have one last addition before the weekend. Have a wonderful weekend!!!!

Cheers: The new Goo Goo Dolls song “Let love in”
Jeers: To Deb not updating her blog in FOREVER
Double Jeers: to certain friends that won’t even start a blog 😦

Recently I attended an old-school, girly-girl, sleepover. It was a high school basketball team reunion. SO FUN! We looked at old pictures, reminisced, talked about boys (giggle giggle) and of course….stayed up too late. We were even going to eat like teenagers and order some pizza, but we had some troubles with that one…so we all piled into the totally cool Mom-mobile (AKA my way cool Sequoia) equipped with car seat, just in case, and headed to a local Sushi hot spot. We may be having a high school flashback, but we don’t have to eat like high schoolers.

The night was just great….time to throw my mom hat out the window for a night and be super fun and young again 🙂 We even caught up with one of our Junior High friends, that I haven’t seen since then. Good times, good times!

It was really weird being able to look at pictures of ourselves and realize that they were taken over 10 years ago… crazy. That makes me feel old, even though of course I am still not even looking old enough to get into an R rated movie much less have a kid and be married for almost 4 years. Sheesh.

The best part of all was to look around the table and see not only the friendships that I have tried so hard to maintain, but the true “family” that I have built along the way. These girls were my sisters I never had (spending time at school/games/practices/and then still hanging out afterwards with people is basically like having an extended family) . They are some of the greatest friends on the planet and its nice to see us all still maintaining somewhat of a friendship even after being out of high school now for nearly 6 years. I felt like we just picked up where we left off, of course with some added stories of including our husbands, ex-husbands, and babies. Ha! I’m lucky to have great friends for so long!!

Sorry I have been MIA lately…Hayden has been sick again. Poor thing was on so many meds I had to make a checklist to keep them all in order and on schedule. So we are all in good health again and thank God! I was beginning to be overwhelmed. Here are some recent pics of her….

I love this face!!

Hayden and Carson at Christmas 🙂

And here they are again giving kisses…..so cute!!!

Anyway, so I’m still looking for a job. I’ve had some leads but nothing concrete yet. If anyone knows of anything that I can do while staying home with my babe, I’d love to hear from you!!!

In other news, we are finally going to build our house!!! Whoohooo!!!! We are so excited, and it really doesn’t seem real yet. We are in the early early stages, so it could be about a year away until we are actually in a home, but we are getting the ball rolling and that is so great! We already have a plan picked out and now if we could just decide on the exterior we’d be good to go! Please pray for us in this endeavor as it can be very stressful. We are really excited though!

YOU KNOW YOU ARE LIVING IN 2007 when…

1. You accidentally enter your PIN on the microwave.

2. You haven’t played solitaire with real cards in years.

3. You have a list of 15 phone numbers to reach your family of three.

4. You e-mail the person who works at the desk next to you.

5. Your reason for not staying in touch with friends and family is that they don’t have e-mail addresses.

6. You pull up in your own driveway and use your cell phone to see if anyone is home to help you carry in the groceries.

7. Every commercial on television has a web site at the bottom of the screen.

8. Leaving the house without your cell phone, which you didn’t even have the first 20 or 30 (or 60) years of your life, is now a cause for panic and you turn around to go and get it.

10. You get up in the morning and go on line before getting your coffee.

11. You start tilting your head sideways to smile. : )

12. You’re reading this and nodding and laughing.

13. Even worse, you know exactly to whom you are going to forward this message.

14. You are too busy to notice there was no #9 on this list.

15. You actually scrolled back up to check that there wasn’t a #9 on this list.

AND NOW U R LAUGHING at yourself.

A very Merry Christmas indeed

So here I go again…. SO I’m really sorry for my hiatus….So much has happened since I last blogged, but I have just not had the time to sit down and blog and I haven’t felt good either, so any second I had I have been resting. ( No this is not a clue to a future post announcing my pregnancy…it was not that kind of sick) It was more like almost bronchitus for a while, until Hayden’s breathing treatment saved me! Anyway so leading up to Christmas I was running around with my head cut off because we were hosting one side of the family here at the house . Well it sounded like a great plan up until the day I got sick. So I had alot to do between my weezing. So amidst my cleaning, grocery shopping, taking care of my child, adding more than three ornaments to the tree (which didn’t happen until about 5 days before Christmas) I was sick. Well all of the sudden I get an interested buyer for Hoobie. So though I had no time to deal with that right then, I rushed him to the groomer, rounded up all his stuff and we were off to meet his new owners. They were great people, but the meeting took so long. So as soon as they finalized their decision, Hayden and I sped off into the dust. So yes, Hoobie is officially gone. But his new owners are the nicest people ever. And Hoobie was going to be the present for their 15 year old daughter. (UPDATE: Hoobie is now Whooey, after the Who’s from the Grinch) 🙂 LOL. I had to laugh at that one)

So our big event went down the day before Christmas eve. It went wonderful! The food was magnificent. Everyone brought such yummy things. I wanted to eat for days. Then that night bj wanted me to open a present that had just come in the mail. This is strictly against policy of no early presents except for one on Christmas eve, but he insisted. So, I opened it to find a brand new camera. Mine totally died on me the day before and I was so sad not to have a camera for Christmas, so I had asked for a camera for Christmas. Well this one got here just in time. It is amazing!! I absolutely love it!

So the next day Christmas eve, we went to my dad’s side of the family. Hayden got to play with the other little great granddaughter and they were so cute together. Next year will be even better since Hayden will be able to communicate with her more. Then we left there and went over to see Cary and Melissa. It was so fun to see them and Carson. He is such a big boy now sinc we haven’t him since he was days old. He and Hayden took some really cute pictures together before we left.

So from there we went home and gave Hayden her new Christmas eve pj’s to wear and then she went to bed. She is so cute because she has a little Christmas tree and some lights around her room, so she will always ask for them to be turned on by saying “Yight” 🙂 I love it! Then Bj and I finished our last minute things and then got into bed to watch White Christmas. So great!

Christmas morning Hayden woke up so early. She knew something was up! So we got up and opened presents. She loved it. She got some really fun stuff, including her favorite movie Curious George, lots of books, some pink crocs and lots more stuff. We were all truly blessed this Christmas. So then we went over to BJ’s parents house to open more presents and eat the traditional Munson family Christmas breakfast which is called Egg-foo-Yuck! It is soooo good. Its eggs, with hominy, sausage, cheese, onions…and more. His dad is famous for it 🙂 Then we went back home and my parents came over to bring more presents and then stayed for lunch. It was so relaxing! Then we finally went to our last family gathering for dinner with BJ’s extended family. And finally, back home for good. Such fun!

Yesterday we hit a couple of sales at Kohls, Target, and Kirklands Home. I wanted to get a couple of Christmas things for next year and then we both got a few clothes that we needed. Then we went back home, Hayden took a nap and I cleaned out my entire closet while BJ vegged. I love to get everything organized and ready for the new year.

By the way…People that live near us, there is this new place to eat on 1097 west called Treats! you have to try it…they have great food and awesome frozen custard!! Yummy! Its been our Saturday ritual for like a month now since we discovered it.

Anyway, I am alive to all of you who have called me! I am feeling much better and glad to be. I hate hate hate being sick. Especially when you don’t have time to take time to get better. So thankfully I had Hayden’s breathing treatment and I did one myself and woke up the next day feeling 100%. YEAH!!!

I hope you all had a very merry Christmas! Have a wonderful, safe New Years and we hope to see you all soon!

I’ll be posting pics to this blog as soon as I get the uploaded from my new fancy-schmancy camera.

You Have GOT to be kidding me!

I’m so mad because I just was in the middle of a gigantic post and I totally lost it. I’ll have to write another one when I get over it. UGH!!!!!!!!!!!! How rude!!!!!!!
