SHE IS FINALLY HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well we have big news finally!!! After a scheduled induction cancelled and 5 days past my due date, our little princess came into the world all on her own early Friday morning at 3:44 a.m. She was a whopping 8lbs. 7 ounces and 21 inches long!!! I had really wanted to have a natural labor and delivery and made it for 17 hrs. with no meds, but once the experience was not becoming enjoyable any longer, I had to opt for the epidural.

We had a really long 22 hr. labor, but it was worth the little jewel that we got in the end. She is completely healthy and a wonderful baby. She has been so content and laid-back and we just love her to death. She is also so alert and strong, already trying to hold her head up on her own. 🙂

I must say that I had the best labor coach ever. BJ did everything and more to comfort me and was by my side every step of the way. I couldn’t have made it those 17 grueling hrs without him.

We just got home today so we are enjoying this first day home as a family. What a beautiful day it was today and the weather was perfect for bringing home our little daughter.

Thank you all for your support and prayers and please continue to send them our way as we rookie parents learn as we go 🙂 Specifically pray for energy, strength, and continued health for our whole family.

Here are a couple of early pictures that we have of her, but if you go online to http://www.memorialhermann.org and click the nursery link (Memorial Hermann The Woodlands) you can view her going home photo probably by Monday if not before. The password is Munson.

I’m sure I don’t have everyone’s email , so please feel free to forward this on.

We love you all and can’t wait for you to meet our little one!

Oh and yes, the suspense is over and the secret is out………….Her name is……………………..

Hayden Jadie-Elisabeth Munson 🙂 It was a fun secret to keep!!!

New Update

Well I just got off the phone with my nurse and the hospital is full for Wednesday, which is the only other day that inductions are done. So! Pray for labor, because we are back to the waiting game. If I haven’t had her by Friday I have to go in and have a non stress test done on the baby and then get scheduled for induction again for next week (Monday or Wednesday).

I have been having lots of contractions just nothing steady. So I’m really hoping they pick up soon, because I really don’t want to wait another whole week to have her. She is just getting bigger and bigger and I’m little. And I really want to have a chance at natural birth, so I dont want her size to interfere with that. SIGH……

So the wait continues. Thanks for everyones encouragement yesterday, it was a bit of an emotional day just because I was so ready for this big experience, but I am regrouped and now just back to waiting. Hoping she comes today!!!

Love you all! Hope to have good news for you soon!

Big bummer news

Well today is not the day. Yet another day to wait for the babe to come. The hospital is too full, which apparently NEVER happens. Of course, today it does. I’m pretty bummed out, not because it didn’t work out, but because I got all psyched out and worked up for it and now its just not happening. Its hard to not get emotional when you are preparing to go in and have a baby and then not. Its worse than waiting everyday to see if this is the day.

I will let you know what happens. I have to go to the dr. today since I didn’t have her and reschedule.

Today is the day

Well today is the day….I hope. I called at 5 to find out what time to come in and a bunch of ladies walked in in labor this morning, so I get bumped later and later when that happens. 😦 I have to call back at 8 and hope they are ready for me then. I am so ready to get this show on the road. Last night I could hardly sleep. AHHHH!!!!

Here is my last belly pic taken yesterday after church. (Thanks Rach for letting me borrow the dress) I’ll get them to Deb ASAP!!!

It’s a LIE!!!!

Well according to my ticker I have a baby around here somewhere, but I sure don’t see her , and my stomach is sure not any smaller 🙂 Today is the due date and I think we are just shooting for Monday. Sounds like a good day for a baby to me !

We are finishing up a few last minute things like mowing the lawn, cleaning the house and packing some stuff in the bag. Thanks to my parents yesterday, they came and cleaned my whole house from top to bottom. What a blessing!!! I was so tired just from the hype of it all.

Anyway, I am loving this weather. Wow. It is so beautiful outside. I can’t wait to take the baby on walks in the nice weather.

Well I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. I probably won’t post until we get back from the hospital, but I will hopefully have lots of great pics for you all.

Pray for a safe, quick and relatively pain free delivery for me 🙂 I’ll post again once I hit motherhood!!!

FYI

Effacement-This refers to the thinning of the cervix in preparation for birth, and is expressed in percentages. You’ll be 100% effaced when you begin pushing.

By the way I accidentally said I was fully effaced and actually I am more like 70% or so. Getting close 🙂 Oh and my bladder infection results were negative…so really all that pressure was all baby sitting on my bladder. But at least it isn’t an infection.

Well we are back at the house now for the second time. We got power yesterday for most of the day and then it went out again at like 4 until this morning. So we are back here trying and hoping that the power will not go out again. I have too much stuff to get ready. I need to clean and make sure everything is ready for the little one.

Well take care all and I will keep you all posted!

My last appointment!!! Much progress and an end in sight!!!!

Well I went for my last appointment today !!!!! It was sort of wierd to not have to schedule anymore appointments. I am dialated to a 2 and fully effaced and the babe has dropped down even more. SO!!! They didn’t think I would make it through the week, but if I do, then I am scheduled to be induced on Monday morning. I am so excited!! That means no matter what I will have a baby by Monday. YEAH!!!!

The bummer part is that I have a bladder infection that really hurts. My bladder is so sensitive and I’m concerned that labor is going to be painful with it being that way. ANd I really really want to go natural. UGH! Oh well, it will all be worth it in the end.

Well sorry I haven’t posted much, but we are still at my inlaws due to our power outage from Rita. The one tree that fell in our yard HAD to be the one right by the power line and it broke it in half. If it weren’t for that we would still have power, because everyone else on our road does. Oh well…

Tonight we all went and saw Flight Plan. It was pretty good. Not as intense as I had thought it would be, but it was pretty good.

Well take care blog world!!!! Hopefully we will have a very eventful week 🙂

Hurricane frenzy

Well it looks like we are about to get blasted everyone so we are rushing around trying to get everything together to weather this big storm.

I had my checkup yesterday and looks like baby is still not ready to budge from her cacoon…which is a really good thing right now considering it would take moving heaven and earth for me to get to my hospital. THey have all the southbound lanes closed due to the evacuation. So we are praying that this drop in barometric pressure doesn’t leave us with a home birth!

We are having problems getting our cell phones to work, so if you are trying to get through to us, just know that we are safe and we will make contact once everything clears up.

I’ll post again when I get a chance!

SEE YOU THERE!!!!!

She psyched us up and then crushed us down like a ton of bricks

Well we thought maybe the big night was going to be last night….but we are still childless today 🙂 We went to the coffee shop to see Jared sing and Britton’s band play and then we all went to see Red Eye afterwards. I really liked the movie and it was pretty intense. I’m surprised that I didn’t go into labor from the intensity at the end.

So anyway, on the way home I start having some gut wrenching pressure and pain. Wow, it was pretty major. It wasn’t all the way up my stomach though so I was confused as to what was going on. So that lasted a couple of hours…we went and walked outside to see if that would bring on regular contractions or relieve the pain I was having. And that is exactly what it did, it just relieved the pressure. So, after another “labor possibility” we are still here and I’m still loaded 🙂 It does get us excited when it happens though. Bj actually started considering what to throw in the bag for himself….that, people, is an accomplishment. He ALWAYS waits till the last second to pack for anything.

Anyway, it was an exciting night, but nothing fulfilling. Hopefully though the babe has now dropped to the lowest she possibly could pre-labor, and hopefully all the pressure and pains made some progress 🙂 Its still a full moon on Sunday so we’ll see. Even still, only 14 more days to go till D-day!!!! 🙂

Tonight we are having some friends over for dinner that are due 5 days after we are. So we are both in a race to see who delivers first (and it better be me or I think I’ll go insane) then we are going to see Just Like Heaven. Should be cute.

Well, must clean house and cook…I’m making my favorite meal to cook…LASAGNA 🙂 yummy….maybe I should mix some Castor Oil in there for both of the preggo mommy’s benefit 😉 J/K!

Have a happy Saturday!! This is the last week of summer….the 22nd is the official first day of fall. It is a beautiful day today, so enjoy it!
