This is my norm

We had a fun weekend. Hayden let us get so much stuff done on Saturday that we had been wanting to do around the house. She slept her normal 9-7am Friday night and then took some long naps on Saturday while we cleaned the house, and talked about a bunch of upcoming stuff that needed to be taken care of. Very productive weekend. Then Sunday, bj didn’t feel so well, so he stayed home and Hayden and I went to church and then to the Harvest fest afterwards. It was fun and there was a good turnout.

This week if Hayden sleeps through the night every night like she has been we are going to put her in her crib next week 🙂 So exciting!!

Oh…great news..I got invited to play on a softball team starting up in the spring. I am so excited because some of you know how I LOVE softball 🙂 Now I will get to play again. I need to start practicing since its been a while since I played last.

Well since we are at the one month mark….that means I get to go back to the doctor tomorrow. FUN FUN let me tell ya, I can’t wait. Seems like Hayden is just growing like a little weed and changing so much. She is really becoming very alert and more and more aware of her surroundings. Its such a joy to watch her develop into her little self.

Well its been over a week and we have been so busy!! Let’s see….

Then this weekend we went to Baylor Homecoming. It was so much fun. We got to see all of our friends from church again and Juli and Lauren. And they all got to see our precious Hayden. We went to Bonfire and the game and to Antioch, and then we had a super fun, and super cute photo shoot by our friend Sarah, who is a professional photographer . Well looks like we have a little eater on our hands. Yesterday I took Hayden to the doctor for her two week check-up. I had been a little concerned that she wasn’t going to have gained enough weight back since she has been having these big spit up episodes. But to my surprise, she was up to birth weight!! 8lbs 7 oz. exactly. Seems that the reason that she has been spitting up is because she has been eating more than she can handle 🙂 So anyway, the appointment went good. She is in the 50% for head size, slightly above 50% on weight and 90% for height! She’s going to be tall that’s for sure…at least taller than me 😉 Then they pricked her little heel for the PKU state test and that was sad. Her head was turning purple she was screaming so hard. I comforted her and then she slept the whole rest of the day and only woke up to be fed, of course 🙂 She even slept from 7-2 a.m. (Including through bj’s entire basketball game, with whistles and horns going off. Didn’t budge. She just snoozed!) Then she slept from 2:30-6 am and then from 6:30-9:30 this morning. It was quite nice.

And speaking of BJ’s game. They killed the other team 88-40 or something like that. It was really fun to watch. His team is really good, and they play well together. Looks like this season will be alot “funner” for everyone. 🙂

Congrats to Rachel and Derek on the birth of their sweet little boy last night. I won’t tell the name and all the fun stats, because I’m sure she will want to do that. But I must say that he has a very cute name!!! We can’t wait to see pics of him!!!

Today is Hayden’s 2 week appointment. I am anxious to see how much she weighs. Seems like she has gained some, but with this spitting up action, I am hoping it isn’t causing her to lose weight. She’s been eating like a machine, so I don’t think it will be a problem.

Bj is playing in a winter basketball league that starts up tonight. It will be fun to go watch him play every week. I can’t wait til I can start exercising. I am ready to build up some muscle again. My weight is coming off really quickly which is nice, but I need some tone for the excess skin that is lingering 😉

Sorry I don’t have any updated pics on here of my sweet Hayden. My digital camera has been borrowed from me and my snapshots aren’t ready to be developed yet. I’m saving up for a really nice digital camera so I can take lots of great pics of our new little one 🙂 you’ll just have to come see her live. 🙂

Oh her newest trick….Projectile vomiting 🙂 Fun stuff let me tell ya.

Let me just say that I have the best baby on the face of this earth. She is so good. The last two nights she has only woke up ONE TIME for THIRTY MINUTES!!!!!!!!!! I am getting more sleep now than I was before she was born. And she sleeps literally about 21 hrs a day. Its unbelievable. She rarely cries, and all she does is eat, sleep, poop/pee, and momentarily stay awake to take in some of her surroundings. Its really quite nice to have such a laid-back, content baby. WE LOVE HER TO DEATH.

We are having lots of fun with her. This weekend, we went to our church picnic. Of course she slept the whole time, but it was fun to take her out there for everyone to see. Then we took her to church on Sunday for her first Sunday. She looked adorable. I took lots of pics, but they aren’t digital, so it will be a few days before I can post them on here. Of course, once again, she slept through church 🙂 Then last night BJ and I and his family went out for Britton’s 19th birthday. We left Hayden with my parents and headed to HOuston. We went to this greek restaurant called Niko Niko’s…yum. It was really good. And then we went to the Dessert Gallery. I had a super yummy Cheesecake. It was nice to get out but we missed our babe so much.

This weekend we also had our laundry room/masterbath completed. They have been working on it since we moved here five months ago. So it is finally done, so we don’t have to go over to bj’s parents to wash our clothes anymore!!! BJ went and bought us a washer from Best Buy on Saturday and they hooked the dryer and washer up and it is ready to roll. I am thrilled!!!!! So this week I am getting lots of things done around the house….organizing things, starting Hayden’s scrapbook, working my Mary Kay business, etc. I love accomplishing weeks!

Oh and one other thing, we got high-speed internet too!!! What a great weekend.
Oh yes and WAY TO GO ASTROS!!!!!! Tonight is the night!! YOU CAN DO IT!!

Well we are still doing well. Transitioning into a little family 🙂 Hayden had her first pediatrician appointment yesterday. She has lost some weight, which is to be expected and now weighs 7lbs. 10oz. So we are hoping that she starts gaining now she is getting on a regular feeding schedule. The doctor said she looks great and she is healthy as can be. We go back when she is two weeks old just to make sure she is still doing well and starting to gain weight.

She is having her first babysitter tonight (the grandparents) because we are going up to the hospital to congratulate John David and Rachel on the birth of their little girl, Chloe, last night. Our girls will be friends we hope 🙂
