Ok so you guys won me over….I shed the drab locks for a more fresh and lightweight do for the summer…I love it.

Well this weekend was fun. .Friday we went to Britton’s Bon Voyage party to the UK. There were SOOOO MANY PEOPLE THERE!! Poor Hayden went around and around the room till she finally found a cuddly shoulder and conked. Saturday we went out to Olive Garden with some people from our church and had a really nice time…then Sunday night Bj and I went to see The Pink Panther. It was pretty funny, but I still think the old ones are funnier. Peter Sellers is just hilarious.

Anyway, my daughter is unbelievably growing up so fast….she is now rolling freely from front to back and back to front and she scoots toward you doing the army crawl (sort of). I can’t believe it. She will be 5 months old next week! Wowee! BJ fed her food for the first time and it was hilarious!!

Word to the wise….don’t waste your time or money on Freedomland! It was so boring and predictable and LOOOOOONNNNNGGGGG!!!! I must say, I love movies and love a good mystery/suspense…but this was BLECH! Julianne Moore did a great job at her character but the movie itself…well, enough said. Didn’t like it.

I have been working on a new blog for updates on my grandmother.Click Here For those of you that don’t know and wonder where in the world I have been. Last Saturday, my grandmother (mom’s mom) had a major stroke, leaving her with no function on her right side of her body. She has already began therapy and has regained many functions and is even able to speak in small sentences again. It is very hard to see her that way and know that she is such a vibrant individual. Please pray for full recovery and healing for her.

She was visiting family in Oklahoma when the stroke happened, so me and Hayden and my mom and dad went out there last weekend and returned Thursday night. Then when I got home I had a major ingrown toenail that needed to be removed so I had that taken care of on Friday. It has been a whirlwind and now I’m just trying to get things taken care of here, so that I will be able to help however I can when grandmother returns home.

Updates on Hayden, we got her little ears pierced and they are too cute. Thanks deb for going with me. I think I would have chickened out if you weren’t there. She is also LOVING solid food. She hasn’t turned anything down yet. And she is getting really close to sitting on her own. She is changing so much right under our noses.

We are back from the 4 month check up and Hayden is doing great. She is 17lbs (not 20 like I just knew she was) and 26 3/4 inches long….she’s going to be a tall girl! She is off the charts for both weight and height…above 95th percentile. But the good thing is she is the same for both, so she is proportioned. The dr. said she thinks that Hayden will be sitting and crawling around in 2 months or so. Developmentally she is ahead!!! Then she got her 4 shots…and turned dark red and then purple from the screams. Poor thing.

She is also starting on solids now. So she has tried some green beans today and seems to like them. Now we will taper down on the cereal and pump the solids 🙂 I can’t believe she is growing up so fast. It seems like yesterday that I was posting about her birth and here she is eating baby food.

Well…while we were in Vegas I got her easter dress and it is darling. My cousin has a daugher that is 2 and we may do matching dresses for her and Hayden. That will be so cute.

MISSING GIRL IN ORLANDO

Well Vegas was fun…to short but fun. We were really ready to come back to see Hayden though 🙂 I have some new pictures from our trip and then of Hayden!! We go tomorrow for her 4 month check up and shots, so pray for her to do good. I’ll update more then.

For those wondering about my dad, his surgery went really good this morning. They cleaned up the ligament and there was no arthritis so extensive surgery was not necessary. He is already back up on his feet. Thanks for all the prayers!

Well this week we are going to a business convention in Las Vegas!! Neither one of us have been there before so it should be fun! We are staying at a really nice hotel, Monte Carlo. The sad thing will be leaving sweet Hayden 😦 But it will be good for all of us, so she gets used to spending the night with her grandparents, and I get used to being away from her.

So this week will go by fast, as we get ready to leave. Hope everyone has a great one!!
