Ok ok ok

So since my last post we have done tons of stuff. Too much for just one post and too long for me to sit down and blog it. So I’ll give a bit of a recap:

We had fathers day. BJ is such an amazing dad. This last year he had to really step up and do things that he wasn’t used to and been the mom and dad alot of the time. He has totally amazed me and pretty much everyone around us at what a wonderful husband and father he really is. I am so thankful to have him as my partner.

We got the babies dedicated. They were so so cute and did amazingly. I on the other hand, wept during the whole time they were reading our life verse and praying over us. The verse that we chose for them was this:

~Romans 12:2, 6-8 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you. If your gift is serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, teach well. If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. If it is giving, give generously. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly. ~

It was so wonderful to stand up there and show our whole church what a miracle these babies are. I just couldn’t contain my sheer gratitude to God for allowing us to be standing there with both of them. Totally healthy and happy and more beautiful than ever. The miracle of it all just really hit home in that moment.

We also had a surprise birthday party for my BFF and we actually pulled it off. It was really hard but we did it somehow. One thing about Deb is that she is a super-sleuth, so we were all thrilled that we actually surprised her!

My babies turned 7 months old! Ella got another tooth, so that is two bottom fronts for both babies and they are both working on the side ones now on the bottom. Hayden cut her top 2 year molar so we only have one more for her and we will be rejoicing when that sucker comes in!

Ella also started crawling about a week and a half ago!!! I have video of this, but I forgot my camera at my parents house so I’ll have to post when I get it back. Pres just started today as well!!! They are really starting to cover some ground, especially Ella.

We took the babies swimming for the first time! I feel like I have posted this already but maybe not, anyway I have pics of this too.

What else….Oh yes, My friend Holly had her baby boy Ethan, on his due date, Thursday. He is adorable!

And one last thing, my husband surprised me with a wonderful anniversary band. It is gorgeous! It is an eternity band and I absolutely love it!

So we’ve been busy…we’re here πŸ™‚ We are sorry for the lack of posting! I’ve been reading up on all of you bloggers, just haven’t had a chance to post yet.

Hayden is doing incredible on her potty training. She only has an accident ever so often and I am still so nervous when we go out with panties on, but she is doing well. I’m so proud of her!

So hopefully it won’t be so long until my next post πŸ™‚ These girls are keeping me on my toes so I’m sure we will have lots of funny adventures to post about from time to time!

Until the next one………….Goodnight

we were two kids in love, without a clue of what our life would be like as husband and wife. Of course we had ideas of what we wanted out of life, and what we saw our life being like, but really we didn’t have a clue past that day.

Our wedding was amazing. There were lots of tears, surprisingly mostly none of them were mine πŸ™‚ But mostly there was sheer happiness. It was amazing to start one day with one life and end it with a totally new one. It was exciting and new and when the wedding was over, we had had so much fun that I just wanted to do it all over again.

I remember getting a call from our hotel the day after our wedding asking me something, and BJ was in the shower or something, and when I answered they called me Mrs. Munson, and that was the strangest thing ever. I’m sure I blushed, and then answered quietly, “Yes, this is Mrs. Munson.” It felt so weird to say it out loud.

It has been a wonderful five years from those early days. We have grown together so much. It hasn’t always been peachy, but those times have made us stronger and helped us learn how to be better for one another. Every day is another piece of our journey. We have made so many memories and are truly the best of friends. We know each other way to well and sometimes during conversations we don’t even have to finish the sentence because we both already know what each other would say and we can just move on.

I can’t believe in just five short years we have added three beautiful children to our family. They have changed us in more ways than I can explain. Each one of them is such a gift and has their own little part of this world. Hayden keeps us on our toes, and no matter how much energy and craziness she exerts in her days, she always asks to be rocked, “Back and forth, back and forth” every night before bed. Ella is just a sweet angel and brings the balance into our lives. She can light up a room with her amazing smile. And sweet Preslyn…she is just mesmerized by her sisters and people. She is like a little sponge just absorbing everything around her. I just love them all so much. I am thrilled to see them grow and learn about life and God. I pray that all of their hearts are tender towards Him, and they will all grow up to find wonderful Godly men like I have found.

For our anniversary we took a short trip to San Antonio. Our original plan was to head to Austin, but we couldn’t find any hotels available in the entire city. So we changed our plans and headed back to San Antonio. We stayed at a beautiful hotel on the Riverwalk, The Watermark Hotel and Spa. It was so nice. The restaurant, Pesca on the River was so good and the service was perfect. BJ had to do a little work while we were there, which was a bummer, but I got to catch up on some much needed sleep!! We relaxed and strolled around the river, shopped and saw Indiana Jones at the theater. Then we went to the Guinness Record Place and saw some of the amazing records that are held and BJ made me go to the haunted house exhibit, which I HATE!!! I was freaking out the entire time. I’m a sissy at those things. On the last day BJ had a massage while I got a pedicure. I started reading a new book during my pedi, “The Memory Keepers Daughter”. It is really good so far, and was really nice, because i haven’t been able to read and fun books in a long time. So I’m enjoying it. Hopefully I’ll get to finish it sometime soon! We had a nice time together and are looking forward to the next 65 more or so!

I love you forever BJ!!

Milestones to record

I have been so busy lately that I haven’t had a chance to record the things my kiddos have been doing….First, Ella got her first tooth, the lower right front one on May 24. It is so sharp!!! Both of the babies have been reaching up for you to pick them up…I LOVE THAT. I think its my second favorite thing, aside from when they start calling me Mamma. Hayden has been out of school now for one week so, the plan was to really buckle down on potty training since she would be here every day. She has done so good and has FINALLY started pooping on the potty. During the last year of potty training “awareness” she has gone pee zillions of times on the potty, but would never go poop. So finally I made her sit there until she went. She read and sang…and finally called out, “Mommy I did a Taco!” Don’t ask me why she calls her poop that, but for whatever reason, I could care less, I was just so excited that she finally actually went! So her big reward for going was she could have gum. She always begs for gum, but we never let her have any. So I decided a while back that I would reward her for going poop with gum. So a gum chewer she now is πŸ™‚ She has had about 4 accidents in a week, but that is not bad considering! We are on our way to one child out of diapers!! WHooHOO!!!

I also one of my close friends got married on the 24th. Lindsey and Brian were wed in a fabulous ceremony that I was so happy to be a part of. Your happiness and love brought tears to my eyes. I wish you so much happiness and adventure in your lives! They are headed to Africa for at least a year to help run an orphanage that Brian’s cousin runs. Pray for their safety and for them to have lots of wonderful stories to tell when they return! I’m so sad because Lindsey is my in home hair stylist…it is so wonderful to just call her up and she comes to my house and I don’t have to leave all of my kiddos or take them all with me. Good thing I’m growing my hair out! πŸ™‚

Mountains

Sometimes I get caught up in the things going on around me that seem like the biggest mountains I have ever imagined. I feel like I can’t do anything else and have to physically throw my hands in the air and say, “God, I can’t do this anymore, I need you to show me that you are still there.” And sometimes, I don’t hear an answer right away, mostly because I am too upset to hear it or I don’t want to hear what He has to say. But when I am still and allow God to move in HIS timing, not mine, though sometimes, I feel like His timing is way too slow, I know it is always perfect.

Lately I have felt this way. Just totally overwhelmed with things going on in my life. And today, God finally showed me that yes, He is still up there, Bigger than little ole me and as always, it was HIS perfect timing!

Thank you Lord for wiping out my hospital bill! This is for my hospital stay, DELIVERY!!!, and everything dealing with me at ST. Lukes. It took 1 year for your answer to our prayers, but I know that your way is always perfect! Thank you for reassurance andrejuvenation. For peace and for the boost that I needed, right when I needed it. Thank you for putting people in my path to help me find ways to get this paid for. Thank you for putting me in the place that I needed to be to receive the best care for my babies. For the doctors and nurses who took care of me, Preslyn and Ella….words cannot express how thankful I am to you all. Though my babies are worth more than any figure in the world, it is such a relief to know that I won’t be paying for them for the rest of my life πŸ™‚

Thank you for everyone who has been believe for us for our bills to be paid. You are all so faithful and I KNOW your prayers have helped this to come to pass for us. We love you all and are so thankful for friends and family who believe the impossible with us!

Weekend that should have been fun

Bronchitus has come upon my lungs and I am so so hurting. BJ took me to the doctor this morning and I got my meds, so hopefully it will kick in quickly.

I’ve had lots to blog about but just haven’t felt very good lately, obviously. And my poor babies have been all under the weather too. Ella had a major allergic reaction the weeekend of BJ”s birthday, so we took them both in to the pedi but they couldn’t figure out what it was. She went all week fine, and then started having a rash again on Thursday. So its been really frustrating trying to figure out what is happening to her. The benadryl that we gave her made her have the WORST diaper rash I’ve ever seen in my life. We have been being overly protectant, using aquaphor, destitin, balmex and baby powder and it still is aweful. I had to order her a prescription that is supposed to help. Then Hayden and Preslyn are all congested and I think have what I have, so they are all going back to the pedi today to figure it all out. Preslyn also cranked in her second tooth!! Whoohoo!! So now she has her two bottom teeth.

I had a nice mothers day with my clan, and got to show off my good mothering skills taking care of my sick babies. I talked with several of my friends this year and it seems that lots of them were home with sick kids this year. My family spoiled me rotten and got me this beautiful purse. I love it!!

This weekend was supposed to be a full weekend for us, with graduations, parties, and a concert we were really excited about going to but since I got sick, we couldn’t go to any of them, and barely survived the weekend all together. I was so sad to miss so many really important things in the lives of my friends though. Please forgive my sick body for not being present. Know that you were all in our hearts and thoughts this weekend. (Lindsey and Brian, Traci, Tara, Jordan, Rebecca, and Radiohead)

Wahooo: My new Caress Tahitian body scrub…smells like I’m on vacation!
ANNNN Cheers to a $30 coupon off diapers!! That is a whole mega box!! I was so excited πŸ™‚
Boooo: to the obvious sore lungs that are giving me grief

May

Well this month has been off to a big start and won’t slow down anytime soon. Seems we have birthdays, showers, weddings, babies and graduations galore!

Last weekend we took the girls all to a little outdoor coffee shop, zoo, playground area here. It was a beautiful day and we were chomping at the bit to get out of the house. So we loaded everyone up and drove over and had a really nice time.

After we got home, Hayden and Ella crashed and I took Preslyn with me to run some errands. She was a doll and so many people stopped us to ooo and ahhhh πŸ™‚ I had forgotten what it was like to go out with a baby. I forgot you have to allot for stop-time! It was so fun to have her with me though. We ran into the newlyweds, Jamie and Billy and they got to meet her for the first time in real life!

Then Sunday we took them all to church! Wow! That was a huge ordeal. We had BJ’s brother come help us at the house, get everyone changed, fed, and into the car. Then unloaded and taken to classes, and into church, where Deb was waiting for us with our seats saved and ready to hold a baby or two. Ella was a jewel. She whimpered about 2 times and found her little fingers and sucked them and fell asleep almost instantly. Preslyn on the other hand, wanted to add to the sermon. She was very good, just loud! So we ended up having to stand out in the hall with her. So next week I think I am going to give the nursery a shot for her…but still not ready for Ella to go yet. She is really quiet anyway, so she shouldn’t be a problem. We loved to get to go all together to church again. It was SO REFRESHING!

Let’s see what else…oh yes. Yesterday the girls turned 6 MONTHS OLD! Can you believe it??? They are getting so big and more and more active. Preslyn surprised us with her first TOOTH yesterday!! You can’t see it yet, but you can feel it and she has been working her tongue on it so much. That explains the last week of her restlessness and crying spells. Poor baby. She is cutting the bottom left front one. Still no sign of any for Ella. Pres is also really trying to crawl, but still not doing it yet. Ella started rolling over again. She hadn’t done it since her surgery, but started yesterday.

I can’t believe how these last six months have flown by. It doesn’t seem like it has been that long, but maybe that is because we haven’t had them in our home for that long. They have added so much to our family and we love them both so much. I remember when we first found out we were expecting twins I was so worried that I wouldn’t know how to love them like I love Hayden. But just like everyone always says, God gave me a supernatural double load of extra love for them. I couldn’t imagine my life without one or both of them. They are so special to me, each in there own way. Ella is my snuggle baby…I prayed for that specifically. And Preslyn is such a joy. She is the biggest smiler ever! She is so much like Hayden and I’m sure will keep our guts sore from laughter. Those two are just peas in a pod.

Hayden has been a hoot lately as usual. Today we were standing in line at the post office and there were about 5 other people there, and all of them were looking at Hayden as she put on a show. Well, all of the sudden she says to me, ” Mommy…did you hear my toot??” I kind of looked around quickly and smiled and told her in a hushed voice, “No, Hayden. Don’t do that.” So she still stares at me and forces out another one and yes, that time I heard it. I was so embarrassed and all of the other people snickered.

Then the other day she had been mean at school and so I told her ahead of time, that she knew better and when we got home she was going to get a spanking.
So she asks me, ” With the spankin spoon?”
Me:”Yes, Hayden, with the spanking spoon.”
H:”On this leg (pointing to her right leg) or this leg (pointing to the other)??
Me:”(Trying to stifle a laugh and be stern) I don’t know yet”

And lastly but not least, Today is BJ’s 26th Birthday!!! Happy Birthday to my love πŸ™‚ I hope your day is amazing and fun and I hope this year is everything you ever wanted. We all love you so much and are so proud of you for what a hard working husband and daddy you are.
Love you daddy!!! Boo-boo, Ella Marie and P-diddy AKA Rocky Palpoa
And I love you more than ever!!~Lindsay

Hello world!!!

I have been wanting to update you all but have been super busy this week, trying to recoup from being with Ella at the hospital for a week. I have some new pics for you and some videos that I hope will upload because they are so cute πŸ™‚

The girls were able to start cereal today…well technically they can both start…Ella is sleeping so I went ahead and started Preslyn, and she hated it for the first 4 or 5 bites…they were more like gags, but then she realized, hey this is yummy…and did well. Very nice compared to what I remember with Hayden. She was only 4 months though so maybe those extra two months really helped out a little!

Ella comes home from surgery 2

Ella waiting for her Daddy to come pick us up to go home!!

We are having a blast having everyone home and being able to load them all up and drive somewhere!! Its the weirdest concept to get into your brain after 6 months of confinement! We are so excited, though a little hesitant to get right out there in the world, so bare with me as we try to get our minds over the fact that there are germs everywhere ready to rub themselves all over my precious clean angels. Hayden has become quite the outdoors woman these days. She begs to play outside any time she can and if we are getting ready to leave she tells us she will be outside waiting πŸ™‚ Such a fun age she is coming in to.

Ella is weighing in the upper 12 lb. range and Preslyn is pushing hard toward 15!! They are both adorable as ever! Hayden is in a big growth spurt. She has grown an inch since we took her for her checkup about 6 weeks ago! She’s gotten too long for all her size 2 pants and now is in 3T’s!

Ella is healing so well and has not been in too much pain it seems. She has a diaper rash, which they told us to expect no matter how hard we tried to prevent it, and boy did we try so hard. We used up 3 full tubes of diaper cream and aquaphor…poor girl…we did our best. So now we have a prescription to get filled that should help out a little…her poor little “boonie” just wasn’t used to poop.
Preslyn …first day of freedom!
