Melissa and Carter

I just got a text saying that Carter is going to be born sometime tonight/early morning. Melissa is being induced because her fluid is low. Please be in prayer for her and for baby Carter. I’ll post more if I get anymore info.

UPDATE:
He’s here!!! I’m sure Melissa and Cary will update as soon as they can but just wanted to let you know he made his arrival early this morning!

Paint party

The long weekend was perfect to start moving in and painting the rooms that needed to be painted. Several of the walls are really dark so we had to prime them first, which takes forever!!! But we are pleased with the changes so far.

We slept over there on a blow up swimming pool float. It was hilarious. It is the big kind, but the first night we couldn’t get it blown up all the way so it was very uncomfortable. The next night was much better since the battery compressor thing worked. We have been taking a car load over every time we go so slowly our stuff is trickling over. Its very exciting and we are loving our new home!

Here’s the rooms that are totally finished:

The dungeon has become a beautiful office…now i just have to get some stuff in there 🙂

And the laundry room is now a soft yellow. Love it!

Much more to do so gotta run. My posts may be slim until we officially move because we are going back and forth and there is no internet at the new house yet. I will try to keep you posted though! We are shooting for Saturday to be our “big move” date, so I’m working hard. I have a lot of painting to do still.

Thank you to my brother for graciously helping us with the office and bringing us some yummy Lupe Tortilla 🙂 !! We had some fun times!

It’s Official!!!

I just wanted to post that we are official homeowners as of 4:30pm today. We celebrated at the same place we got engaged, Black Walnut 🙂 It was so fun and we are so excited.

We all went over there tonight and Hayden ran through the house, climbed in every cabinet, opened every drawer and kept saying “this is so cool”. lol. She is too cute. So now we have some painting to do and then we will hopefully get to move in next weekend!

California Here We Come!!!

Only 3 more weeks until Alexis joins our family! We are so excited and can’t wait for the wedding!
Here are some of their engagement pictures that they took while she breezed into town recently.

Sorry I have been pretty absent lately. We have tons going on just not really anything bloggable. I have been packing and cleaning still. I wish I could wave my magic wand and it all be done. Tomorrow we close and I am so excited. It feels like it isn’t really happening and then tomorrow they will hand us the keys!! That is so exciting. We have been talking through paint colors and room ideas. I think it is going to be so wonderful!

Hayden is keeping her same theme on her room that we did for her 2 yr. birthday. She currently has pink walls here at our house so we are going with the green walls this time and then we will paint one part that is like a reading nook, the pink to give it a little variety.

They are all sharing a bathroom and it was already a really pretty purple, which is exactly what Hayden requested so that will be really cute. I got them a froggie shower curtin that coordinates with all of the bug/butterfly theme they have in their bathroom now.

Then for Preslyn and Ella I found two themes that I think very much represent their personalities yet go together nicely. We are going to paint the room similar to the blue that is showing. Its very cute and girly and then we are going to decorate it really girly.

The one on the left will be Ella’s theme. I love these owls! They are adorable!! And then for Preslyn, my little spider monkey, we will be doing the one on the right. I am not going to do those curtins though and not the stripes. So it will be toned down a bit. Oh and they are still very much in cribs, so this will be a project for closer to their 2nd birthdays. I just wanted to go ahead and pick what I wanted so I could know how to paint their room and start buying stuff this year so its not so expensive all at once.

Pray for Hayden. Her little allergies are flaring up and today she had a runny nose. I am hoping she isn’t coming down with something right before the mayhem begins. We have our move, a wedding and then off to California for my brother’s wedding all coming up. So I am trying to keep us all healthy so we can survive!

Well back to packing!

9 months already

I was a little delayed in taking the girls in for their 9 month checkups due to the popularity of my pediatrician! She was booked solid for like three weeks! So we finally made it in today and here is the update on my kidlets.

Ella Marie:

17″head–25%
27 3/4″ height–50%
19lb.7oz. weight–50%

Yeah Ella!! Since she has come way up the curve from 10% to 50th% she doesn’t have to take any supplements from all her surgery ordeal. They wanted her to go on a “baby gatorade” type thing called Vycitra which she had been on between surgeries. It allows for the body to stay hydrated while the colon isn’t absorbing enough water. So, if she doesn’t absorb, but doesn’t take the med then she could have issues with growing properly. But for those that have seen the girls, they are neck and neck and Ella is keeping up just fine. So no more meds for her!!!

She was right on with all her development except that she doesn’t clap or do peek-a-boo yet. She only says one word as well. So we are going to work on those things for the next appointment. Other than that she is crawling, pulling up, sitting, laughing, looking when she hears a sound, etc.

(she was in the middle of eating, which is the reason for her carrot “soul patch” 😉
Preslyn Kylar:

17in. Head–25%
28 1/4″ height–75%
19 pounds .04 ounces–50%

She finally passed up Ella in length. This totally surprised me since Ella has been the tallest all along. Preslyn was doing all the developmental things as well, except for Peek-a-boo, but she does clap so that was a point for her. She is also crawling, sitting, pulling up, eating like a champ, etc.

They both had to get one shot each, and boy isn’t it nice when its only one.

Both babies are cutting their two outside of the front top teeth. So they will both have 6 teeth. These sort of came out of nowhere and I didn’t even realize until one day Preslyn was laughing really hard and I saw two more teeth. They didn’t even have a hard time or anything. I checked Ella and sure enough there they were too!

Also, here is a picture of our weekend visit from Alexis (my soon to be sis-in-law and her beautiful sister, Christina) No they are not twins, though they totally could be! Aren’t they adorable 🙂 oh, Lex is the one on the right holding my precious Pressie and Ella and Christina were buddies and of course my dearest Hayden.

In home news, we close Thursday at 3pm. We are so excited and can’t wait to get in and start fixing up the place. We have lots of painting to do and then we hope to be moved in before my brother’s wedding, Sept. 19.

Just a little peek into some hilarious moments!

Busy Little Bees

I’m sorry I haven’t posted in a few days…being that we are moving, my life is pretty much consisting of eating, sleeping, feeding children, packing and trying to do some exercise and fun stuff with the kids here and there 🙂 I’ve also been preparing for big shower this weekend for my brother and his soon-to-be-Mrs. as well as BJ’s best friend, Jared gets married this weekend!

Preslyn started saying DaDa last Friday. I was so bummed, as she was the last child that I had a chance with of saying MaMa first 😦 Oh well, it was very cute though. She and Ella have both been standing up and pulling up on everything. They are everywhere all of the sudden. Today Preslyn was sitting in her crib waiting for me this morning, so they are on the move and learning new things daily. They have also been eating up a storm. They are up to two meals per day now plus their 5 bottles. They are doing really well with the spoon. Ella’s new favorite is “Oswald”. Its so cute. Oswald is an octopus and the show has lots of fun colors and sounds/music. I think the show came out in 2001 but we have been seeing the reruns on Noggin. She absolutely loves it. She will watch with mouth open the whole time. It is a great distractor for them while I make dinner or bottles or whatever.

We’ve been recording the Olympics every day and watching the thing we like. Let’s hear it for Michael Phelps!!! WHOOHOOO!!! Wow, he is amazing! And the mens relay team has been awesome as well. We love swimming and have watched some gymnastics as well. Other faves are soccer, track, softball and syncronized swimming (haven’t seen that yet).

So Hayden is a little confused about the whole moving thing. Every day she asks if we are going to the “orange house” ToDAY?????? I tell her not until we get everything packed up into the boxes…so she will get motivated and ask to help…today she packed 7 books and was done. At her pace we won’t be moved until she graduates college. We’ve been deciding on paint colors for some of the rooms that we want to change…I’ll show you some more of the house….

Here is the living room

So, these are all pics of the previous owners stuff, we haven’t moved in yet, in case you are confused. We are really excited and can’t wait to make it our own!

Look what we just bought!

We finally have purchased our first home together!! We are so excited! The Lord just opened some doors and led us to this house and we are thrilled to start a new chapter of our life here! We still have dreams of building in the future, but for now this is our new home! Yeah!!!
