So here I go again…. SO I’m really sorry for my hiatus….So much has happened since I last blogged, but I have just not had the time to sit down and blog and I haven’t felt good either, so any second I had I have been resting. ( No this is not a clue to a future post announcing my pregnancy…it was not that kind of sick) It was more like almost bronchitus for a while, until Hayden’s breathing treatment saved me! Anyway so leading up to Christmas I was running around with my head cut off because we were hosting one side of the family here at the house . Well it sounded like a great plan up until the day I got sick. So I had alot to do between my weezing. So amidst my cleaning, grocery shopping, taking care of my child, adding more than three ornaments to the tree (which didn’t happen until about 5 days before Christmas) I was sick. Well all of the sudden I get an interested buyer for Hoobie. So though I had no time to deal with that right then, I rushed him to the groomer, rounded up all his stuff and we were off to meet his new owners. They were great people, but the meeting took so long. So as soon as they finalized their decision, Hayden and I sped off into the dust. So yes, Hoobie is officially gone. But his new owners are the nicest people ever. And Hoobie was going to be the present for their 15 year old daughter. (UPDATE: Hoobie is now Whooey, after the Who’s from the Grinch) 🙂 LOL. I had to laugh at that one)
So our big event went down the day before Christmas eve. It went wonderful! The food was magnificent. Everyone brought such yummy things. I wanted to eat for days. Then that night bj wanted me to open a present that had just come in the mail. This is strictly against policy of no early presents except for one on Christmas eve, but he insisted. So, I opened it to find a brand
new camera. Mine totally died on me the day before and I was so sad not to have a camera for Christmas, so I had asked for a camera for Christmas. Well this one got here just in time. It is amazing!! I absolutely love it!
So the next day Christmas eve, we went to my dad’s side of the family. Hayden got to play with the other little great granddaughter and they were so cute together. Next year will be even better since Hayden will be able to communicate with her more. Then we left there and went over to see Cary and Melissa. It was so fun to see them and Carson. He is such a big boy now sinc we haven’t him since he was days old. He and Hayden took some really cute pictures together before we left.
So from there we went home and gave Hayden her new Christmas eve pj’s to wear and then she went to bed. She is so cute because she has a little Christmas tree and some lights around her room, so she will always ask for them to be turned on by saying “Yight” 🙂 I love it! Then Bj and I finished our last minute things and then got into bed to watch White Christmas. So great!
Christmas morning Hayden woke up so early. She knew something was up! So we got up and opened presents. She loved it. She got some really fun stuff, including her favorite movie Curious George, lots of books, some pink crocs and lots more stuff. We were all truly blessed this Christmas. So then we went over to BJ’s parents house to open more presents and eat the traditional Munson family Christmas breakfast which is called Egg-foo-Yuck! It is soooo good. Its eggs, with hominy, sausage, cheese, onions…and more. His dad is famous for it 🙂 Then we went back home and my parents came over to bring more presents and then stayed for lunch. It was so relaxing! Then we finally went to our last family gathering for dinner with BJ’s extended family. And finally, back home for good. Such fun!
Yesterday we hit a couple of sales at Kohls, Target, and Kirklands Home. I wanted to get a couple of Christmas things for next year and then we both got a few clothes that we needed. Then we went back home, Hayden took a nap and I cleaned out my entire closet while BJ vegged. I love to get everything organized and ready for the new year.
By the way…People that live near us, there is this new place to eat on 1097 west called Treats! you have to try it…they have great food and awesome frozen custard!! Yummy! Its been our Saturday ritual for like a month now since we discovered it.
Anyway, I am alive to all of you who have called me! I am feeling much better and glad to be. I hate hate hate being sick. Especially when you don’t have time to take time to get better. So thankfully I had Hayden’s breathing treatment and I did one myself and woke up the next day feeling 100%. YEAH!!!
I hope you all had a very merry Christmas! Have a wonderful, safe New Years and we hope to see you all soon!
I’ll be posting pics to this blog as soon as I get the uploaded from my new fancy-schmancy camera.
I’m so mad because I just was in the middle of a gigantic post and I totally lost it. I’ll have to write another one when I get over it. UGH!!!!!!!!!!!! How rude!!!!!!!
Ok, i just switched to the new blogger so i need to make sure that everyone can still read my blogs….mostly concerned with those that don’t have blogger accounts ??? Can you post if you can see me!!
I’m sorry I haven’t updated, I have had a cold the last couple of days, and am super swamped with Christmas plans. We are hosting one side of the family at our house this year so you can understand my lack of time to blog. I will post as I have time…may be in the new year!! If not until then I pray you all have a wonderful holiday and don’t forget what its all about 🙂
Merry Christmas!!!

Last year Mary Kay came out with these travel lighted mirrors and they sold out in days. They were only available to hostesses and are now being added to the regular line. These are great gifts as well as great to use for yourself. They are magnified and lighted and include batteries as well as a travel bag that is really cute. $20. These will make great gifts!!

So a friend of mine (Jacob Mayorga) has started up an experimental website/business venture. It’s called Raffle Happy . This is his first raffle and its for a brand new IPOD. This is for real, I know this person personally. So go check it out!! THere are only 2 days left so don’t delay!!
The thanksgiving food frenzy has finally died down and I think my frequent napping will have to as well in order for me to get anything done in this world. I think with the constant gorging my face and then the mellow weather we have been having, plus staying up to ungodly hours of the night, it seems I have reverted to new-Hayden days with frequent napping. Bj too. We are just pooped out.
We had two days of family time and it was so nice. We got to see some of Bj’s family that we hardly ever see. And then my family, some of them I don’t really see too often and so that is always nice. The food was splendid. This year it seemed like everything was so good. I’m not a big turkey lover or stuffing lover, but I ate both this year and liked it. Plus I tried a new pecan pie recipe that seemed to go over really well with everyone. I also made a new food, sweet potato souffle, which BJ said was good. –I’m not a big sweet potato lover. Eugh!
Hayden was a trooper. Both days she went all day long with no nap, but was still wonderful. It is weird to think that this is our second thanksgiving with her. I can’t believe how the time is flying. Hopefully we got some good pictures, but I haven’t gotten them from anyone yet. My camera screen went out so it makes it hard.
Then last night we threw a big bash for two of our friends that are having birthday’s. It was so nice. Hot cocoa, s’mores, and hot dogs out by the fire. We all sat around until the wee hours of the morning reminiscing and talking. Fun times. We are totally wiped out today from all the hoopla, but it was definitely worth it.
Hayden got a new tooth…Her 9th. And is still having a runny nose so I am thinking another might be coming in soon. She is amazing. Last night she was playing with another little boy that is 8 months old. He just started sitting and pulling up, but not crawling yet, and so he was playing with this piano toy that Hayden has. She came up and plopped down beside him and nearly barreled him over trying to get to her toy. She used her arm to push him out of the way. And though we had to pull her away really quickly so she wouldn’t hurt him, it was hilarious. She was determined to move him out of her way. Hee hee.
I hope all of your thanksgivings were as wonderful as ours.
I am thankful for so many things, but I am especially thankful for my salvation. It is so comforting and gives me a sense of worth to know that I am saved and that my life has a purpose on this earth to lead others into the kingdom.
I am also thankful for the wonderful family that God has blessed me with. For a husband that supports me in everything that I do. Who encourages me when I am down, laughs with me when I am delirious, listens when I just have to cry it out, and loves me all the while.
I am thankful for the most precious daughter ever. Though she may not comprehend it right now, she is the light of my life. She always makes me laugh. I am addicted to her 🙂 I find myself just watching her. Its amazing to see her absorb her world around her and learn new things daily. She has brought a joy to my life that I didn’t even know that I lacked.
I am also thankful for my parents and brother and all my extended family. I have such a wonderful support system and a family that some don’t have. I don’t come from a broken home, which seems so common these days. I thank my parents and grandparent for that wonderful example. Thanks for sticking it out in the hard times that I’m sure were there many times. Thanks for making it work. You have laid a solid foundation for us to follow and build on. Thank you for that opportunity. And though all of my family is equally important to me, I have say that I am truly greatful for the Lord sparing my grandmother’s life this past February. Thank You that you gave us yet another year with her and hopefully many more to come. I love you Grandmother!
To wrap up, I am blessed with some fabulous friends. You guys have lifted me up when I was down, and hopefully I have lifted you up when I was up 🙂 You all know who you are and I love you all. I am thankful for new friends as well as old. You each have a special roll that you play in my life and without you I’d be a mess. Thanks for listening to my rants, girls night, main event coin games, “day long” counseling sessions, the drama, and the laughs. lol. I ♥ you all! The list could go on for days, but those are some that are very close to my heart.
NOTE:I am pleased to say that I am roughly halfway finished with my Christmas shopping. Yeah! I have my tree up, not decorated, but up. And we have a few lights on the outside. We are hosting Christmas at our house this year so I have to get a move on things.
Oh yes, another wonderful thing that happened, Thanksgiving morning I got an email saying that I got my first recruit with Mary Kay!! Whoo hoo!! So fun!
Maybe you enjoy all of the year’s holidays, but there’s just something about this time of year… Even if Mother Nature cheats you out of a White Christmas, you know how to make the most of the season — whether with loved ones or strangers you meet along the way.As much as you might like to bundle up and romp outdoors, you also enjoy kicking back to bask in the glow of the season — or maybe the glow of a dozen strings of lights in your living room. You, more than others, really know how to feel cozy. And for someone who enjoys curling up by a fire, warming a cup of cocoa, or snuggling down with a classic Christmas movie, there’s no better theme song. So just remember: If the weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful, and if you’ve no place to go, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!
