Mothers

I was so busy during Mothers day that I never properly posted about it or about the fabulous mothers in my life. May is incredibly busy for us, with weddings, graduations, and then nearly every birthday of anyone we know, and then Mothers Day. Literally my husband, dad, and father in law all share birthdays within a few days of each other. It gets crazy!

We spent time with both of our moms and my family loved on me and made me feel so special. I’m so thankful that we live close to our mothers and get to spend so much time with each of them!

Lately, Hayden has been trying to convince us to adopt a brother for her, or to please go to the doctor to see if they can see a baby in my stomach. (Chuckling) A couple of weeks ago, when I told her that adoption is extremely expensive and something that takes time and patience and lots of money, she responded ” Can you just give them your debit card??”

Her newest response came today when she asked me, “Well, can we just get a cheap one??”

I love that girl. All my girls. I’m so thankful for the joy they give me and that I have been blessed to be their mother.

The twins brought home brown bags with “breakfast in bed” for me on Mother’s Day.
I shared 🙂

Mothers Day 2011

Mothers Day this year was so enjoyable! It happened to fall on BJ’s birthday so we decided to have lunch at our house to celebrate his birthday with our family and mother’s day. The last several years we have gone out to eat on Mother’s Day and it always seems to be more stressful than relaxing. I wanted to cook for everyone this year and just have a nice day at home with everyone.

It turned out so nice and I loved having all of my family there to enjoy the day with. (BJ’s parents were on vacation celebrating his dad’s birthday) May is a big year for us with 4 birthdays in our immediate family! Its interesting how you can put so much effort into some things and they turn out to be more stressful and then something easy just turns out to be so rewarding and relaxing.
I know this is definitely a mother’s day I will remember forever. Just sitting around laughing and talking and making memories together.
My little family gave me some beautiful pink roses for my table. Then they surprised me with some new perfume, some bubble bath and a pool coverup (hubby used a coupon AND got a free gift with purchase!! YAY!)

I made my mom a necklace that I’ve been wanting to make her for a while and it turned out pretty good! There’s even room for a couple more grandbabies, once my brother and sister in law pitch in 😉

May Mayhem

Every year when May rolls around I kind-of cringe inside. May is a doozie of a month for our family, and I’m sure others too. For instance I went and bought cards the other day for all of the birthday’s that we celebrate in may (BIL’s fiance, my dad, bj’s dad, bj, misti, jordan–ah and don’t forget that when you have kids they give cards to people too 😉 ) then there is mother’s day for all the mom’s, plus any graduations and weddings that have snuck in this year. It was quite the pile when I was finished.

So needless to say this month is a fun month and crazy busy. This year happens to be the big 5-0 for my dad, bj’s dad and my sis-in-law’s dad. Pretty crazy that they were all born in the same year, same month and just days apart!

We had a little suprise party for BJ on Thursday night with some friends. It was really nice to get to see everyone and hang out for a bit! Plus how can you deny a yummy meal at Berryhill???

Then Sunday my little family all went to church and celebrated Mother’s Day for lunch at Eggcetera. Delicious! The lunch was a little stressful with it being near lunch time and Hayden has not been feeling very well. I got an array of gifts, a super cute shirt and earrings, some lawn gear (gloves, pots and a shovel), a cute rug, and a couple other clothing items. Such fun things and what great tastes my little Hayden has!

Then my brother and I took my parents out to dinner, along with Alexis, to celebrate my Mom’s mother’s day. Yummy Pappasitos! I ate way too much food this weekend that is for sure! We had a great time together.

Happy Mother’s Day, Birthday, Graduation, and Wedded Bliss to all who are celebrating this month!

Weekend that should have been fun

Bronchitus has come upon my lungs and I am so so hurting. BJ took me to the doctor this morning and I got my meds, so hopefully it will kick in quickly.

I’ve had lots to blog about but just haven’t felt very good lately, obviously. And my poor babies have been all under the weather too. Ella had a major allergic reaction the weeekend of BJ”s birthday, so we took them both in to the pedi but they couldn’t figure out what it was. She went all week fine, and then started having a rash again on Thursday. So its been really frustrating trying to figure out what is happening to her. The benadryl that we gave her made her have the WORST diaper rash I’ve ever seen in my life. We have been being overly protectant, using aquaphor, destitin, balmex and baby powder and it still is aweful. I had to order her a prescription that is supposed to help. Then Hayden and Preslyn are all congested and I think have what I have, so they are all going back to the pedi today to figure it all out. Preslyn also cranked in her second tooth!! Whoohoo!! So now she has her two bottom teeth.

I had a nice mothers day with my clan, and got to show off my good mothering skills taking care of my sick babies. I talked with several of my friends this year and it seems that lots of them were home with sick kids this year. My family spoiled me rotten and got me this beautiful purse. I love it!!

This weekend was supposed to be a full weekend for us, with graduations, parties, and a concert we were really excited about going to but since I got sick, we couldn’t go to any of them, and barely survived the weekend all together. I was so sad to miss so many really important things in the lives of my friends though. Please forgive my sick body for not being present. Know that you were all in our hearts and thoughts this weekend. (Lindsey and Brian, Traci, Tara, Jordan, Rebecca, and Radiohead)

Wahooo: My new Caress Tahitian body scrub…smells like I’m on vacation!
ANNNN Cheers to a $30 coupon off diapers!! That is a whole mega box!! I was so excited 🙂
Boooo: to the obvious sore lungs that are giving me grief

The Weekend of Deborah

Oh this weekend was GLORIOUS!!!! Deb and I went and used our joint Mother’s Day gift from BJand went to the spa to be pampered! It was wonderful to say the least. Neither of us had ever had a facial before so that was a totally new experience and then we had manicures and pedicures 🙂 Fun times!!! (THANK YOU BJ) Then we hit up Olive Garden which was super yummy! We don’t get lots of chances to just hang out just us two, so its always nice to catch up and spend fun time together 🙂

Then! that night all of us girls got together to celebrate Deb’s big 24th birthday at Berryhill. Yum again. We had a great ole time and Deb got some super cute gifts!!

Yeah for a weekend of Deb!
