This is my norm

Last night I had a pampered chef party and it was really fun!! I had never been to one before, and it was nice because while we are flipping through the catelogue and admiring the wonderous kitchen accessories, etc. the consultant is cooking our dinner for us. I love it!! I asked if I could provide the food and a recipe every night and she would come cook for me 🙂 J/K…I actually love to cook so a personal chef won’t be necessary 🙂

anyway, the party was sort of last minute and lots of people didn’t get their invites, so, if you wanted to come but couldn’t, or you didn’t know about it, there is still time!! I have two weeks to close the show so, look look look 🙂 I was really impressed by their stuff. Made me want to update all my stuff! 🙂 I love kitchen stuff.

In other news…Hayden is moments away from walking…she took one step last night during my party while bj was watching her at his parents. ah!! I missed it!! But she is so close that I can’t believe it. She is going to be motoring around so soon. So exciting!

We had such a great time! I wish we could have stayed on vacation for a year 🙂 Our hotel was beautiful, the food was amazing!!! and Hayden was a jewel. Yes, it was a bit tiring, especially for BJ to not get a break from her, but it was a wonderful vacation for me for sure and we all had a great time.

We saw the famous cliff divers that dive from 105 feet into 12 feet waters. (Yikes!!)

We drove through old Acapulco, haggled with vendors and saw some famous hotels and sites. Very fun time!

Hayden loved loved loved swimming and went nuts when we would put her in the pool.

She didn’t quite know what to do about the ocean, sand and waves though. One wave came in and knocked me and her over. We cracked up laughing!!! Oh and she did just great on the plane.

I was more nervous than she was.

She has become a stick-tight this past week. I will move rooms and she is clamouring behind me to follow. sigh…. She has become more of a part of me out of the womb i think than she was in me 🙂 lol.. go figure.

But I sure do love her. She has been changing and growing so much lately. I looked at her today and she is just blossoming into a little girl. Her personalilty is blooming ( some of it not so thrilling) and she is looking more girly and big. Makes her mamma sad to see the baby stage fading before her eyes.

Oh and Hayden’s teeth are all cut through and blazing in. I have one pic that you can sort of see the top two coming through…they look so big!

Cheers: To long vacations

Last night bj and I stayed up until the wee hours of the night packing, packing and…more packing. Wow, traveling with a babe is so hard because you have to basically pack everything imaginable that they will need, could need, or might by the slightest chance need. I do not want to be trapesing all over the Mexican countryside looking for a pack of size 4 diapers. Or a gerber baby water with flouride. sigh…the things you do. So we hauled out the gigantic suitcase from back in the day that I used to load up for ORU every year.

So I loaded my stacks of things into “big green” (the suitcase) and bj came around with a shocked look at the amount of no space that I left for him. Really there is plenty, his clothes are just way bigger than mine and therefor don’t fit in as well 😉 Then I realized that we still had yet to include Hayden’s belongings. So we hauled out Little green…the rolling carry-on. That bag now contains, a large tub of formula, 56 diapers, a whole pack of wipes, oatmeal packets, water bottles, snacks, crackers, fruit snacks, toys, blankets and clothing…and and an array of other things…medicine, spoons, bottles, liners…..sheesh. The good thing…most of that will be consumed and not brought back with us, leaving plenty of room for souvenirs 🙂

I think we are going to look like a walking circus through the airport, with big green, little green, Hayden in the stroller, bj with the carseat strapped to his back, and all the other things we accumulate between now and take-off. ahhhhh…the joys of traveling with a child 🙂 I am pumped. We are going to have so much fun!!

ahhh….the day is over and thank the Lord. It was just one of those overwhelming days and I had no time for all the things that went wrong and needed fixing and attention. …………i’m better now…regrouped and ready for another wonderful day tomorrow 🙂 I’ll look back on my last post someday and laugh…i already am.

I can’t believe how big she is getting…she is turning more and more into a little girl and less and less a baby…sniff sniff…

oh and yes, she loves bath time…even when its not time…she will go in there and just look into it at all her toys 🙂 so cute!!

I took Hayden to her 9 month appointment today and she did so great. I was worried because her appt. was smack in the middle of her normal nap time, but she was fab as usual!! She was a show off in the waiting room and made lots of friends and then went in and weighed off the charts at 23lbs and her height…off the charts as well at 30 inches. She is Nearly half my size less one inch!! Amazing!!! She checked out perfect as far as development and then they were going to check her hemoglobin and had to draw blood. I was prepared for a fight and a screaming tired child, but she sat there and didn’t even flinch when they stuck her and didn’t pull away or anything as the nurse squeezed her blood out of her precious little finger. I was a proud mamma!! What a trooper!!

So…lots in store these next few months….weening off the bottle by 12 months, transitioning to whole milk, and almost old enough to face forward in the car. She weighs enough, just waiting on that age to catch up 🙂

Oh…and did I mention that she is cutting FOUR TEETH!!!!! One has peeked through, and the other three are visible, but not through yet. She hasn’t even been grouchy or anything hardly. She is going to have 6 little teeth in there…how cute will that be!!!

Well ta ta…I’ll post a couple of pics in the morning…for now it is off to bed.

10. Because hearing your child say “mama” and actually mean to try to get your attention, wow…its so beyond words!!!
9. Gotta love a job that lets you stay home in your pjs all day long if you so choose.
8. watching your child finally understand how to play peekaboo and being super excited to play over and over and over
7. Getting your child to laugh so hard that you yourself are crying
6. Waking up to a crying child and rocking them back to sleep with them rubbing on your face
5. Knowing how to soothe and comfort in different situations
4. Going to the nursery and see her face light up when she sees us
3. When they give you kisses when you ask
2. Cuddling under my neck
1. the excitement of her first glimse of me in the morning that makes her tense up all her muscles and the biggest open mouth smiles!!
